In their own words

Cozi

Cozi is a family organizer for coordinating schedules, activities, shopping, tasks, and meals. Its shared, color-coded calendar supports reminders and agenda emails, while shared grocery lists can be emailed to someone picking up the shopping. Families can also create to-do, chore, packing, and other lists, with no stated limit on the number of lists. The recipe library stores recipes, supports weekly dinner planning, and can add ingredients to a shopping list. Calendar feeds to and from Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar are read-only. One account supports up to 12 family members, and everyone included can view, add, edit, and delete account data. Cozi is available on the web and through iOS and Android apps. Cozi Free costs nothing. Cozi Gold costs $39 a year, and Cozi Max costs $79 a year. A two-week Gold trial is available when subscribing on the web, but not through app store subscriptions. Cozi says it does not offer phone support or restricted access for family members on an account.

KIN

KIN is a shared family calendar for keeping household schedules together on Android and iOS. Family members can create or edit plans by holding to talk for voice input or by typing natural-language requests. The shared timeline combines events, reminders, to-dos, recurring plans, and assignments. People can filter the timeline by family member and apply privacy controls to individual events. KIN does not currently import or synchronize Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or other external calendars. Its privacy policy says voice and typed requests are sent to Cartesia for speech-to-text and Google Gemini for interpretation after in-app permission, with Groq and OpenAI listed as backup speech-to-text providers. KIN says it stores data with Supabase, uses reasonable security measures, and does not sell, trade, or rent personal data. It warns that speech recognition and AI interpretation can make mistakes, so users should check dates, times, recurrence, assignments, and reminders. The Free plan is listed at free, while future paid subscriptions or features may be introduced.
