In their own words
Cozyla Calendar
Cozyla Calendar brings household schedules, chores, and meal planning together in a family hub. Users can create events, connect supported calendars, and configure event and reminder displays. Calendar Plus 2 offers day, week, and month views for personal or group schedules, with up to eight profiles distinguished by color. Families can assign chores, schedule recurring routines and one-time to-dos, and use points-based rewards. Meal tools include planning, grocery lists, recipes, and pantry tracking with expiration reminders. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook Calendar, and CalDAV can sync in both directions; Cozi events are read-only in Cozyla and cannot be written back. Calendar Plus 2 combines a digital calendar with an Android tablet that can access Google Play apps. Parental controls can manage screen time, lock selected apps, and restrict children from changing events, chores, or rewards. Cozyla AI is described as early access, with voice actions for chores, routines, some events, and meal plans. Free plans are included with a device; paid memberships have a 30-day free trial and can be shared across devices linked to one Cozyla ID.
KIN
KIN is a shared family calendar for keeping household schedules together on Android and iOS. Family members can create or edit plans by holding to talk for voice input or by typing natural-language requests. The shared timeline combines events, reminders, to-dos, recurring plans, and assignments. People can filter the timeline by family member and apply privacy controls to individual events. KIN does not currently import or synchronize Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or other external calendars. Its privacy policy says voice and typed requests are sent to Cartesia for speech-to-text and Google Gemini for interpretation after in-app permission, with Groq and OpenAI listed as backup speech-to-text providers. KIN says it stores data with Supabase, uses reasonable security measures, and does not sell, trade, or rent personal data. It warns that speech recognition and AI interpretation can make mistakes, so users should check dates, times, recurrence, assignments, and reminders. The Free plan is listed at free, while future paid subscriptions or features may be introduced.
