In their own words

CrabCut

CrabCut turns long-form videos into 9:16 clips for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. Its AI examines video and transcripts for highlight moments, transcribes in more than 16 languages, then reframes clips vertically with face tracking, animated captions, and hooks. Caption fonts, colors, positions, and animation styles are customizable. Inputs include MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV uploads; YouTube links are available on paid plans. Connected YouTube and TikTok accounts can publish directly, while Pexels may provide B-roll media. CrabCut is available on the web and through an API. The maker says most videos finish in under five minutes, with longer jobs taking up to 15 minutes. Credits equal minutes processed, reset monthly, and do not roll over. The free plan gives 60 sign-up credits and 720p exports with a watermark. Paid plans are Light at $6.99 a month, Standard at $12.99 a month, and Heavy at $29.99 a month.

reap

Reap is an AI video editor that turns long videos, webinars, interviews and other spoken content into clips, captions, dubbed versions and translated subtitles. Its clipping tool analyzes faces, vocal tone, pauses and pacing to identify moments for social videos. The editor has more than 50 animated caption presets and captions in over 100 languages, including romanized scripts. Transcript-based editing lets users change the video by editing its text. Paid plans add AI dubbing in more than 80 languages, with monthly limits of two hours on Creator and five hours on Studio. The social publisher connects to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook and X, although destinations vary by plan. Reap also offers REST API, CLI and MCP access and says it works with n8n, Zapier and Make. The Free plan provides one hour per month of clipping and captions, watermarked 720p exports and projects that expire after seven days. Creator costs $9.99 per month billed annually; monthly billing is available at a higher rate. Reap runs in a mobile browser, with native iOS and Android apps stated to be launching in Q3 2026.
