In their own words
CrankWheel
CrankWheel lets salespeople share a screen with prospects by sending a link through text message or email; viewers do not need to download software. Presenters can show a full screen, an application window, or a browser tab, and the service monitors viewer attention. Browser-based video calls use computer microphones, speakers, and webcams without participant downloads. Meetings and screencasts can be recorded, stored in the cloud, and downloaded locally. Users can also send personalized sales recordings by email with animated previews, divide them into segments, and track playbacks. Its Instant Demos widget captures website leads, can call an available agent, and routes leads to a CRM. Native CRM integrations include Zoho CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, HighLevel, Less Annoying CRM, and Insites. All customers have a REST API and Zapier integration. Plans include a free tier and Solo at $29 a month. The free plan allows one user, 15 meetings per month, three viewers per meeting, and one-week recording retention. CrankWheel is available on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, and the web, as well as through an extension and API.
Deskreen
Deskreen is a desktop app that mirrors a computer screen or one application window to a device’s browser over Wi-Fi. With a Virtual Display Adapter, a browser-equipped device can serve as a second screen. It can work off-grid over local Wi-Fi without internet access, and Flip Screen Mode horizontally flips the image in a tablet or smartphone browser for teleprompter use. During sharing, users can change picture quality, with automatic quality changes also supported. Community is free, open source under AGPLv3, and supports one connected device. Pro costs $24.99 a year and supports up to five connected devices; Teams costs $139.99 a year and supports unlimited devices, with three seats included for teams of up to 20 members. Extra Teams seats cost $10 each. Custom terms are available for enterprise, education, and large organizations. Deskreen says it uses end-to-end encryption; enhanced connection security and VPN support are listed for Pro, Teams, and Custom. Its listed desktop systems are Windows, Linux, and macOS.
