Cubit Design Studio
Cubit Design Studio turns written packaging descriptions into packaging designs with print-ready dielines and 3D mockups. The browser-based tool requires no download, installation, or plugin, and the site says a design can be generated in under 60 seconds. Each generation produces a 2K–4K composite image containing a dieline and a 3D preview of the same design. Supported formats include mailer boxes, rigid boxes, folding cartons, cylinder tubes, sleeve boxes, and pillow boxes. Users can annotate designs with canvas tools or ask for changes in chat; iterations are saved in version history. A design can also be sent for professional review, with chat, revision requests, and approval involving an assigned designer. After approval, users can request a production quote and place an order tracked in Cubit Flow. The maker says the AI supports requirements for more than 50 industries, including cosmetics, food and beverage, cannabis, e-commerce, and supplements. Examples of compliance guidance include food nutrition facts and allergen callouts, cosmetic INCI ingredient lists, and cannabis THC warnings. The free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited AI generations.
Packdroid
Packdroid generates packaging dielines from standards-based templates and lets users inspect designs in 2D and 3D. Its catalogue lists 248 templates across FEFCO, ECMA, rigid-box, and bag families. Users can place artwork on a flat dieline and view it wrapped around a folded package in 3D, then export production dielines as SVG, PDF, or DXF. The Developer API takes a template code and dimensions and returns one of those file formats for workflows such as web-to-print, ERP jobs, or quoting tools. API request limits vary by plan: Bench allows 10 per minute and 200 per day, Workshop 20 per minute and 1,000 per day, and Line 30 per minute and 5,000 per day. New accounts start free and can inspect any template's full 2D dieline; for the first 5 days, they can also download four branded cut files from DEMO templates. Paid plans start at $9.00 per month: Bench includes 45 monthly downloads, Workshop 90 and 3D folding, and Line unlimited downloads and 3D folding. Before mass production, Packdroid advises checking final dimensions, tolerances, tooling, and material behavior with a packaging manufacturer.
