FitNesse
FitNesse is an acceptance-test wiki for specifying and verifying application acceptance criteria. Stakeholders can document requirements in wiki pages and run those pages as tests against an application, helping keep documentation aligned with software behavior. Pages can be edited in a browser using wiki syntax or a rich-text editor, and tests can run manually or automatically by anyone with web access to the server. FitNesse is distributed as a Java jar, can run on a machine or server, and stores wiki pages as files. It requires Java Runtime Environment version 11; listed supported versions are Java 11, 17 and 21. Fit and Slim are built-in test systems, and tests can also run from JUnit or Maven. Extensions and fixtures include support for Git, Gradle, Selenium, REST and HTTP testing, PDF checks and email retrieval. Page permissions can separately limit reading, writing and testing, but are disabled by default. The project is free under the Common Public License version 1.0.
