In their own words
CukeTest
CukeTest is a script development IDE for automating tests across web, desktop, mobile, API, and game applications. It combines visual editing with debugging and report generation, including detailed test execution reports. Scripts can use JavaScript with Cucumber or Python with pytest, as well as Node.js and Python packages. Automation methods include control and text recognition, image matching, virtual controls, and simulated mouse and keyboard actions. AI Pilot can generate BDD test cases and test data, analyze reports, and assist with code explanations, refactoring, and comments. For web automation, CukeTest supports libraries including Selenium and Puppeteer; its web engine supports Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. The command-line interface can run and manage test projects for CI/CD pipelines. CukeTest runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, with macOS 11.6 listed as the minimum Mac version. Mobile testing is listed for Lite, Pro, and Enterprise. Lite is free and includes visual feature editing and JavaScript and Python, but limits automation API calls to 500 and video recording to three minutes. Pro has a 50,000-call limit and unlimited video recording, and is Windows-only. Enterprise lists unlimited API calls and recording, with Windows, Linux, and Mac support.
LightBDD
LightBDD is a free, open-source behavior-driven development framework for writing readable tests and tracking execution locally. Scenarios support parameterized steps, inline and tabular parameters, and shared context. The framework records step progress and execution time and supports asynchronous scenarios and steps. It generates feature reports in HTML, XML, or plain text. Listed integrations include NUnit, xUnit 2 and 3, Microsoft Test Framework, Fixie, and TUnit, while dependency-injection containers are supported. A Visual Studio extension supplies project and feature-class templates plus snippets for scenarios and composite steps. The Quick Start organizes acceptance tests as partial feature classes, separating scenario definitions from step implementations. Packages are distributed through NuGet. Listed runtime support includes .NET 5+, .NET Framework, .NET Standard, .NET Core, and UWP. LightBDD runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows under the BSD 2-Clause License. The project wiki and NuGet debug symbols provide support and diagnostics resources. A community project can synchronize LightBDD scenarios with Azure DevOps test cases.
