In their own words
Curator Live
Curator Live is a photo and video platform for capturing guest moments at photo booths, venues, attractions and events. It supports photos, GIFs, boomerangs, videos and 360 content, with sharing by QR code, text or email. Organizers can add overlays, green screens, banners, branded experiences, custom microsites and emails, and social media posting. Listed capabilities also include printing, lead capture, offline capture and a live event gallery. Integrations include Dropbox, Google Cloud Bucket, AWS S3, Twilio, Photo Mosaic, BoothMotion and camera, lighting and booth hardware. A free account provides a demo, but demo images carry a DEMO watermark; live testing is available through a free 14-day trial. Standard costs $29, paid once, Agency Pro costs $99, paid once, and Event Pro costs $149 a month. Each plan includes one device license by default, and additional simultaneous devices require more licenses. Supported platforms include iPhone, iPad, Mac, web and Windows; the download guide requires iOS 16 or later. Curator Live says it uses SSL/TLS encryption and access controls and does not store full payment details on its servers.
OpenBooth
OpenBooth is free, open-source photobooth software for Linux. It is designed for touchscreen operation and photo capture, with image filters, a live preview of the filtered result, and wireless triggering. The software communicates with cameras through the gPhoto2 library and its Java bindings, while OpenCV handles image processing. OpenBooth is still in development, and its project page describes initial tests in progress. The project began as an assignment at the Technical University Vienna and continues with Otelo Wien through a five-student computer-science team. It is released under the MIT License, allowing use, copying, modification, distribution, sublicensing, and sale under the license conditions. The project Wiki provides program documentation, hardware information, and build-and-run tutorials. Questions are invited through the Wiki or by email.
