Overview

Cutout.Pro is a background-removal service for people who need clean cutouts, replacement backgrounds or a way to process images in batches. Its strongest fit is a recurring workflow that can use one credit per HD download; occasional users can inspect a free preview before deciding whether to pay.

It accepts common image formats and includes a brush for repairing missed or clipped areas. The trade-offs are a low-resolution ceiling on free previews and a credit system that requires matching the plan to expected download volume.

Key features

Removal and replacement: Cutout.Pro can remove a background or replace it, making it useful for product imagery and other cutout-based work.
Manual refinement: The Erase & Restore brush can correct background left behind or foreground details removed by mistake. That is a practical fallback when automated results need adjustment.
Batch and API workflows: Batch processing is supported, and the Windows and Mac desktop apps can process folders. API access also suits teams connecting background removal to other software.
Input and output limits: Inputs can be JPG, PNG, WEBP or BMP, up to 15 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels. Exports are PNG or JPG, with a maximum output resolution of 4096.
Preview and privacy: Each upload receives a low-resolution, watermark-free preview without an account or credits. Cutout.Pro says images are processed securely, deleted automatically, and not stored or shared.

Pricing

The free preview is useful for checking a result, but it is low resolution and does not provide an HD download. New accounts receive 5 credits without a credit card; each credit pays for one HD image download. That is a modest starting allowance rather than a sustained free workflow.

Monthly subscriptions replenish credits each month: 80 credits cost 5.00 USD per month; 170 cost 9.90 USD per month; 300 cost 16.90 USD per month; 550 cost 29.00 USD per month; 1000 cost 49.00 USD per month; and 1450 cost 69.00 USD per month. The 80-credit tier suits light regular use, while higher tiers are for larger monthly volumes. Subscription credits can roll over up to five times the monthly budget, which offers some buffer for uneven workloads.

Pay-as-you-go packages are 30 credits for 4.99 USD per month, 300 for 39.00 USD per month, 900 for 79.00 USD per month, 3000 for 199.00 USD per month, 30000 for 1399.00 USD per month, and 5000000 for 37500.00 USD per month. Credits can be bought in volume and used at the buyer’s own pace, making this option better for irregular demand than a monthly allowance. Main-platform credit purchases have a 14-day refund guarantee; credits bought through the Shopify App are non-refundable.

Platforms

Cutout.Pro supports web, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as API access. The Windows and Mac desktop apps support folder-based batch processing, a useful distinction for repeated jobs; the service also supports batch processing generally.

Who it's for

Cutout.Pro is a sensible choice for people who need background removal alongside replacement backgrounds, manual touch-ups and a clear per-image download cost. The preview lowers the risk of trying it, while the API and desktop batch options give higher-volume users ways to fit it into established workflows. It is less compelling for someone who needs frequent HD exports at no cost or who wants a free preview at full resolution.

Pros and cons

Pro: A no-account, no-credit preview lets users judge a cutout before committing to a download.
Pro: One credit per HD download and multiple subscription sizes make usage straightforward to budget.
Pro: Brush refinement, folder batching on desktop, and API access cover correction and workflow needs beyond one-off edits.
Con: The preview is low resolution, and HD downloads consume credits, so previewing alone is not enough for production use.
Con: Shopify App purchases are excluded from the 14-day refund guarantee, so purchase channel matters.
