DeploymentSelf-hosting uses Linux with PostgreSQL 15 or newer and Redis; Python, Node and other dependencies are bundled and offline operation is supported. The project provides Docker and Docker Compose deployment instructions with writable data volume support.
IntegrationsListed integrations include Ansible, Terraform, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, Proxmox, VMware vCenter, SNMP, nmap, LDAP/AD and WinRM.The project says it has no runtime dependency on external APIs and includes a locally vendored icon catalog for offline-friendly behavior.
IPAMIt manages prefixes, addresses, VLANs, DHCP scopes, DNS zones, VRFs, route targets and utilization maps. The IPAM panel shows per-subnet utilization, detects duplicate IP conflicts, and suggests the next free IP when adding machines, devices, or VMs.

In their own words

Danbyte

Danbyte is an open-source IP address management, data-center infrastructure management and network source-of-truth platform. It tracks IP space, hardware, cabling, power, virtualization, monitoring and automation in one system. For IPAM, it calculates prefix containment, available space and utilization per VRF, and handles VLANs, DHCP ranges, DNS zones and route targets. Its DCIM tools model rack elevations, device faceplates, ports, power and virtual chassis. Network views include cable and fibre tracing, floor plans, circuits, VPN tunnels and wireless SSIDs. Proxmox VE and VMware vCenter imports cover virtual machines and related infrastructure, with drift reconciliation; active checks, SNMP and nmap discovery help maintain an observed layer. Automation options include Ansible and Terraform inventories, Jinja templates, signed webhooks and scoped APIs. Danbyte can run on user hardware, including fully air-gapped deployments, without telemetry or an expiring license. The free, self-hosted offer includes all features without seat licensing. The Linux quick installer bundles Python, Node and dependencies but requires PostgreSQL 15+ and Redis.

Open Network Diagram

Open Network Diagram is a free, self-hosted tool for visualizing and managing home lab and network architecture. It provides network, Hosts & VMs, and rack views for mapping topology and inventory, including subnets, VLANs, virtual machines and rack positions. Connections can record cable type, colour and length. Its IPAM panel reports subnet utilization, detects duplicate addresses and suggests the next free IP. The application keeps JSON as its source of truth; self-hosted changes autosave, writes are persisted atomically, and rolling backups retain the last five files. Deployment is Docker-first, with writable data volumes and Docker Compose support. The runtime exposes GET and PUT operations at /api/network-data, and published Docker images support AMD64 and 64-bit ARM, including Raspberry Pi systems. The project is licensed under GNU GPL v3 and has no runtime dependency on external APIs. It does not include authentication or TLS. The project warns that topology details may expose sensitive infrastructure information and advises restricting access or using an authenticated TLS-terminating reverse proxy.
