OpenClassrooms
OpenClassrooms is an online learning platform offering free courses and career-focused training programs, including programs that lead to recognized credentials. Its catalog lists 600 free, open-access courses and more than 50 training programs. Lessons may include educational text, videos, automatically corrected quizzes, and self-corrected practice; a course typically takes about 5–15 hours, depending on pace. Training students receive one-on-one guidance from a mentor with expertise in their field and work on projects based on real business scenarios. Learners can ask questions in discussion spaces, and premium members can download course videos in high definition for offline viewing. Courses are available online year-round on computers, tablets, and smartphones. Free-access courses require an account and cost nothing. Training paths range from €300 to €500 per month and last 6 to 18 months; monthly subscription pricing varies by program. The service is available on the web and iOS. OpenClassrooms says it is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 and identifies dynamic notifications not being read by screen readers as an accessibility issue.
