In their own words

DataLion

DataLion is a web-based survey and dashboard platform for collecting or importing data, analyzing it, and sharing findings as interactive dashboards or reports. Survey tools cover questionnaire creation, skip logic and distribution; publishing can automatically create a dataset, codebook and live dashboard. Analysis options include crosstabs, significance testing, weighting, regression, ANOVA, MaxDiff, price sensitivity, and sentiment and topic analysis. Data can come from SPSS, Excel, CSV, databases and APIs, with scheduled imports and ways to combine sources. Drag-and-drop dashboards offer interactive filters, drill-downs and more than 50 chart types. Exports include editable PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, PDF, image and CSV, alongside a Power BI OData feed and AI access through MCP. Deployment options include on-premise Docker or a dedicated hosted instance. The Free plan is free, limited to one user, one project and 100 cases; exports, crosstabs and AI analysis are excluded. Solo starts at €100 a month, billed annually and excluding VAT. DataLion says it is a Munich-based company founded in 2014.

Verdonz

Verdonz is a governed AI platform for investigating business questions across business data, workspace knowledge and connected systems. Its agents can identify what changed, trace drivers to accounts or transactions, show evidence and propose a next step for approval. Users can ask plain-language questions about governed metrics and see the selected metric, dimensions and SQL behind an answer. A shared semantic layer defines metrics, entity relationships, descriptions, synonyms and permissions for use across dashboards, reports and AI answers. Workspace knowledge bases can include PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, CSV, text and Markdown files. Supported sources include Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Databricks on Unity Catalog, Amazon Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Presto and Amazon Athena. By default, queries run where connected data lives; Verdonz says it does not perform ETL, ELT, change data capture, streaming replication or reverse ETL. Free access is limited, uses sample data and does not connect a business’s own data. Team costs $199 a month at a flat rate, with billing terms confirmed at signup.
