DataStories

DataStories is an augmented and predictive analytics platform for generating insights from data without prior data-science experience. It turns structured data into interactive stories that users can interpret, act on, communicate, and share. Its analysis supports regression and binary classification, including predicting multiple KPIs at once. For regression tasks with at least one numerical KPI, the optimizer can seek KPI configurations while accounting for objectives, uncertainty, and constraints. Inputs are tabular Excel, CSV, or TXT files, with at least 20 rows and a maximum size of 40 MB. Users can optionally create PowerPoint slides from story slides available in the platform. A library connects the computational engine through Python or Jupyter, and SDK tutorials cover MLflow, Databricks, and standalone dashboards. Stories can be shared with other platform accounts using viewer, share, or share-and-clone permissions. A local workstation installation starts with Pro. The maker says cloud data is hosted on AWS servers in Ireland and remains within the EU. A trial is available for an agreed evaluation period, and may have limited features.

Mapji

Mapji is a free, browser-based no-code tool for building and publishing interactive maps. It offers 10 map types, including heatmaps, choropleths, store locators, crowdsourced maps, and story maps. Without writing code, users can draw markers, lines, polygons, and routes, then customize map themes. Imports support CSV, Excel, GeoJSON, KML, KMZ, and GPX files; Google Sheets can serve as a read-only live source that checks for changes roughly every five minutes. Draw and Compare maps can place WMS, WMTS, ArcGIS, TileJSON, or PMTiles layers beneath the map data. Maps appear at a Mapji URL and can be embedded with an iframe or published on a custom domain. The Free plan costs nothing and includes map building, data imports, a Google Sheet connection, and publication to a Mapji subdomain. Each data source is limited to 10,000 features and imports to 25 MB, with up to five isochrone origins. Mapji does not geocode addresses, so imported points need latitude and longitude. Published maps are accessible to anyone with the URL, with no private or password-protected mode.
