DataSunrise
DataSunrise is a data, AI and database security platform for protecting sensitive information across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. Its functions include activity monitoring and audit, data masking, a database firewall, sensitive data discovery, vulnerability assessment and data security posture management. The firewall monitors activity in real time, detects SQL injection and other malicious query patterns, and can block potential threats. Its controls include encryption, request blocking, access restrictions and SQL allow or deny lists. The company says cloud or on-premises installation uses a non-intrusive approach that leaves existing databases and applications unchanged. Published integrations span SQL and NoSQL databases, warehouses, cloud services, storage, business tools and generative AI services. Available monitoring methods vary with database, version and deployment. DataSunrise says it supports compliance efforts for SOX, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS, among other frameworks. It lists Linux, Windows, web and self-hosted availability. Pricing is on request, with a personalized offer following a request; there is no free plan. A 30-day trial is listed, and the firewall page states performance impact of around 5–10%.
TencentDB for MySQL Database Proxy
TencentDB for MySQL Database Proxy is a managed service positioned between an application and TencentDB for MySQL. Applications connect through a proxy address while the service routes reads to read-only instances and writes to the source instance. Connection pooling reduces the burden of frequent or excessive new connections, and transaction splitting can separate reads and writes within transactions. A multi-node cluster across availability zones supports failover. Proxy resources are isolated per instance, with stated capacity of up to 100,000 requests per second per proxy. Nodes can scale from 1 to 60, while request, CPU, and memory metrics are monitored at second-level granularity. Configuration can be hot-loaded after source switches, changes, or read-only instance changes without disconnecting or restarting. Access modes either balance connections across nodes or select a nearby node. Supported databases are MySQL 5.7, MySQL 8.0, and the TencentDB read-only analysis engine. The pay-as-you-go plan is listed at $0.07 a month, with regional CU pricing details.
