In their own words
DataSynthesizer
DataSynthesizer generates synthetic data that imitates a supplied dataset while applying differential privacy techniques, according to the project. Its demonstrations cover random, independent-attribute, and correlated-attribute modes. The documented input must be a table in first normal form, and the project states that relational and unstructured data are outside its scope. Installation uses the Python command `pip install DataSynthesizer`. Users can run example notebooks with Jupyter Notebook or start the included Django project locally and open its web interface at `/synthesizer`. The project is MIT-licensed and offers GitHub Issues for questions and reports. It is intended to help data scientists work with owners of sensitive data. DataSynthesizer is free and open source, with self-hosted and web platforms listed. Its documented integrations are Python pip, Jupyter Notebook, and the companion Django interface. There is no free trial because the project lists only a free plan.
SynthEngyne
SynthEngyne creates synthetic datasets for AI training and development, including text, images, tabular data, and time series. Users can build domain-specific datasets from proprietary documents, adjust generation parameters and methods, and organize work in dataspaces. The workflow runs from generating data to viewing, analyzing, and exporting datasets for AI models. Listed quality tools include validation, cleaning, and deduplication; processing options include real-time, streaming, and batch generation, as well as enterprise-scale processing. Text, tabular, and time-series generation costs 1 credit per row, while an image costs 10 credits. The free plan provides 1,000 credits each month without a credit card. Paid credit bundles are one-time purchases: Starter is ₹1,500, Popular ₹3,000, Pro ₹6,000, and Enterprise ₹10,000. Credits do not expire, and dataspaces, datasets, and storage are unlimited. SynthEngyne is described as in closed alpha, with public availability planned by the end of March 2026. DataGen names healthcare, finance, automotive, and retail as potential industries for the product.
