DaVinci AI Photo Restoration
DaVinci AI Photo Restoration repairs old or damaged photographs, addressing scratches, tears, creases, water stains, fading, discoloration, noise, and low resolution. It can process severely damaged images more than once for progressive improvement and can add color to black-and-white photos. DaVinci says restored images are enlarged to 4K and downloadable as high-resolution files for printing or sharing.
A smartphone photo of a printed picture can be used without first making a high-resolution scan; even lighting and minimal glare are recommended. The service is available on Android, iOS, and the web. DaVinci says users retain ownership of restored images and may use them personally or commercially under its Terms of Use. Its restoration page says uploads and results remain private and are not used to train AI models. Its privacy policy says image data for certain third-party AI features is shared with the relevant provider to generate results in real time.
RenewShot
RenewShot is an iPhone photo-restoration app for repairing scratches and fading, sharpening blurry faces, and colorizing black-and-white images. Its tools also include Magic Eraser, Backdrop, Unblur, 4K Boost, Live Memory, Future Baby, and Pro Headshots. The workflow is to choose a photo, select a tool, compare the before and after, then save or share the result. An Apple, Google, or email sign-in is required before processing. RenewShot says it receives only photos users select, does not sell them, and does not use third-party advertising SDKs. Ordinary uploads and generated results stored by RenewShot are scheduled to expire one day after upload; processing-provider copies follow that provider's retention period. Pro Headshots uses selected selfies to train a personal style model that may be stored for further headshots, and deletion requests must be emailed to support. The free plan costs nothing, billed forever, and offers two processing previews monthly, with results locked and no saving or sharing. PRO costs $49.99 a year and includes up to 200 photo renewals monthly.
