dayGLANCE vs Sorted³

dayGLANCE is a day planner built around a 24-hour drag-and-drop timeline for time-blocking. Schedule tasks on the timeline or keep unscheduled items in an inbox; the app also includes habits, recurring tasks, focus sessions, and calendar sync. The hosted web app requires no account and stores data locally in the browser by default. It works offline, with optional cloud sync for backup and access across devices. Calendar features include importing calendars and two-way task syncing with CalDAV lists. Tasks and notes can also sync through a user’s own Nextcloud or WebDAV server, and an Obsidian integration can read and write vault tasks and daily notes. dayGLANCE runs on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, and the web, and can be self-hosted as a Docker image. The Android app adds a home-screen widget, background notifications, and optional Health Connect integration. Optional AI features use the user’s own API key. The software is MIT-licensed. The web app is free at free; dayGLANCE Pro is paid through the App Store, with no price listed.

Sorted³ combines tasks, calendar events and notes in a unified timeline for planning the day on iOS and macOS. It supports recurring tasks, reminders, subtasks and calendar sync, with formatted notes available alongside tasks and events. Auto Schedule helps create a daily plan in a few taps and can revise it during the day. Magic Select, Time Ruler and Calendar Drawer help adjust a schedule as plans change. Users can reorganize or merge tasks, folders, lists and tags. Listed integrations include iCloud Sync, Siri Integration and URL Scheme support. Events, tasks and attachments are stored on the device and synced through Apple CloudKit; the maker says it operates no servers of its own. The privacy policy says Sorted complies with GDPR and does not collect users' personal information. Free plans are listed for both platforms. PRO adds Auto Schedule, iCloud Sync, attachments, Auto Backup and app icons; the listed iOS price is $14.99 a month and macOS is $24.99 a month, each billed as a one-time in-app purchase. A 14-day trial is listed.
