In their own words
Dayora
Dayora is a journaling app that responds to entries with a summary, an insight, and a suggested next step. Users can speak entries for transcription and reflection, or use Reflect to explore an entry or start a conversation informed by journal context. Entries can include mood and energy records, with trends available over time. The free plan includes Your Circle, which tracks people and relationship context from journal entries. Journals can be exported as JSON, PDF, or Word. The app can be set to 11 languages, and entries may also be written in other languages. Dayora says journal content is sent to OpenAI for reflections, and OpenAI may use that content to train and improve its models under Dayora's data-sharing agreement. Dayora says journal text and account records are encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. The free plan includes unlimited journal entries, voice journaling, transcription, and Reflect chat up to 300 messages a day. Plus costs $9 a month; its founding price is $6 a month until 1 November 2026. Plus voice calls are capped at five minutes each and ten calls per day, with about 20 minutes included monthly.
Inlet
Inlet is a private, AI-driven journaling assistant for recording and recalling personal experiences. It offers short daily prompts, and voice entries become editable text before saving. Entries can include photos or videos up to 30 seconds. Inlet can turn notes into diary entries using only what the user wrote, without adding events or feelings. Memory tools include quizzes based on a user’s entries and a living summary of what matters to them. Users can set aims and keep notes; both are marked beta on the welcome page. Groups can see when members are active, while entries are shared only when the author tags people and chooses to share. Inlet says data is stored in an encrypted database, photos in secure object storage, and app secrets separately. The service is available on web and iOS, with Android in open testing. Its free plan costs nothing and includes writing, prompts, aims, and day summaries.
