DBConvert Streams
DBConvert Streams combines a database IDE for exploration and SQL with migration and change-data-capture streaming. One-time Load migrations and ongoing CDC replication are supported; MySQL CDC uses binlog replication and PostgreSQL CDC uses logical replication. Connectors include MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, local files, S3-compatible storage, and federated queries. Embedded DuckDB lets federated SQL join databases and file or object-storage sources in one statement. Local-file workflows handle CSV, JSON, JSONL, and Parquet, with CSV, JSONL, and Parquet listed as target formats. The software runs as a Windows, macOS, or Linux desktop application, or as Docker on a server, VPS, bare metal, or cloud VM. CDC does not need Kafka, Zookeeper, or Kubernetes; NATS is bundled in the desktop app or Docker Compose stack. It also offers an AI assistant, read-only MCP operations, and more than 80 REST endpoints. The Free plan is free and includes an IDE, viewers, extensions, and federated queries across two sources. Its CDC trial lasts seven days from the first stream and covers up to three tables.
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) is a free Windows utility that finds and removes prevalent malware threats and reverses changes they made. It is generally delivered monthly through Windows Update or as a standalone download. When automatic updates are enabled, Windows Update downloads and runs it in the background; the standalone version can be started on demand. After a standalone scan, it displays a report of threats found and removed and writes a log to %windir%\debug folder\mrt.log. MSRT targets prevalent malware families only, so it is not a replacement for full-fledged antimalware such as Windows Defender Antivirus. It requires local administrator privileges. The download page lists Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and specified Windows Server releases. It supports multiple languages and uses United States English if the operating system language is unsupported. The listed download is version 5.145, published September 11, 2026, and is 84.0 MB. The plan is free.
