| Core capabilities | The platform connects forecasting, inventory, pricing, and execution with probabilistic AI and real-time signals. | ICRON groups its capabilities into trusted decision quality, optimization-led execution, and an AI-native agentic ecosystem. |
| Deployment | ToolsGroup describes Decion as a SaaS platform and says it works alongside existing operational systems rather than requiring ERP replacement. | Deployment options include SaaS, on-premises hosting, and private cloud. |
| Founded | 1993 | 1992 |
| Implementation | Implementation timing depends on scope, data complexity, integrations, and selected capabilities, and a phased rollout can start with priority workflows. | ICRON says initial decision deployments can be delivered in weeks rather than months using configurable no-code modeling. |
| Industries | The platform serves retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, wholesale distribution, aftermarket parts, and consumer goods organizations. | The platform supports industries including food and beverage, life sciences, chemicals, electronics, automotive, and industrial manufacturing. |
| Optimization | Its multi-objective prescriptive optimization balances service levels, margins, inventory, and operational trade-offs. | Its optimization core combines heuristics, optimization methods, simulation, advanced analytics, and in-memory parallel computing. |
| Security | ToolsGroup states that customer data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS, and that customer environments are segregated. | ICRON completed a SOC 2 Type II audit and says it undergoes independent audits annually. |

In their own words
ICRON
ICRON is a web- and mobile-oriented decision hub connecting supply chain planning, optimization and execution. It supports decisions for demand, inventory, procurement, production, capacity, scheduling, S&OP, finance and network design. Its optimization core combines heuristics, optimization methods, simulation, advanced analytics and in-memory parallel computing. Adaptive scenario planning lets users compare alternatives, assess impacts and examine trade-offs before execution. AI agents can plan, optimize, govern and execute, while approval, override and escalation rules retain human involvement where required. ICRON integrates with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and multi-instance ERP landscapes. Deployment options include SaaS, on-premises hosting and private cloud. Configurable no-code modeling is intended to deliver initial decision deployments in weeks rather than months, according to the company. The platform supports multiple languages and industries including food and beverage, life sciences, chemicals, electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing. Pricing is available upon request.
