In their own words

deckhost

deckhost turns plain-text enhanced Markdown into presentations that can be published as shareable links. Users edit slide text directly and see a live preview; presentations support keyboard navigation, fullscreen mode, 12 reveal styles, math styling, syntax highlighting and background controls. AI use can rely on the user's Anthropic or OpenAI API key, and the product provides an MCP server for Claude Desktop and Claude Code. VS Code and Cursor extensions add live preview, speaker notes and one-click publishing. deckhost can import Marp frontmatter and map common directives to its own equivalents. Local work through the CLI, MCP server and presentation engine is free forever and needs no account; the CLI can also build static HTML for separate hosting. Published decks open in a browser without an account. The free plan is free, billed forever, with five published public decks and 100 API calls per day. Pro is $20 a month, and Team is $29 a month.

Folveo

Folveo is an AI slide studio for turning a text description into a presentation deck, aimed at people who do not want to work with technical setup. It connects to AI assistants installed on the user's computer and says it can configure one without a terminal or API key. Folveo says it adds no AI fees; users can choose a free model or an AI subscription they already have. Slides can be edited directly and built with elements such as charts, stat cards, quizzes, timelines, pricing tables, diagrams, and icon grids. Presenting options include audience and speaker views, plus a phone remote paired by QR code over Wi-Fi. Files can be opened from PowerPoint or.folveo and exported to PDF, PowerPoint, MP4, or a.folveo package. The maker says slides stay on the user's device and can be presented or exported offline. Slide content is not sent to Folveo, though prompts sent through a chosen third-party AI assistant follow that provider's policies. Folveo runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and supports Vietnamese and English. The free plan costs nothing; Pro Monthly costs $3.99 a month; Pro Annual costs $39 a year; Founder Lifetime is listed at $129 a month.
