In their own words
DELMIA Demand Planning
DELMIA Demand Planning is Windows software for forecasting customer demand in manufacturing and supply-chain operations. It combines historical sales, market trends and external factors with statistical algorithms, machine learning and generative AI to identify patterns, choose models and flag anomalies. Teams can add market intelligence such as promotions or economic shifts to statistical forecasts. Planners can pivot through SKU, category, region and other product or geographic levels, then run scenarios to estimate inventory and financial effects of disruptions or strategic changes. Forecast automation accepts new data, recalculates forecasts, monitors accuracy and escalates critical exceptions. Demand plans connect with DELMIA Supply Planning and S&OP for procurement, production and capacity alignment, while the DELMIA Quintiq Demand Planner factsheet describes R statistical platform integration. The listed 2026 release supports 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 plus Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022, and requires QR Server 1.7.4. Pricing is on request.
RELEX Demand Planning
RELEX Demand Planning forecasts demand for planning across merchandising, supply chains, and operations. Its manufacturer-focused Demand Planning & Sensing supports SKU/day forecasts, aggregated up to a 24-month horizon, along with demand sensing and product lifecycle forecasting. Models can account for promotions, point-of-sale signals, weather, seasonality, cannibalization, and halo effects. For new products, a Product Attribute AI agent matches them with reference products to create day-one forecasts. Configurable dashboards let planners review, adjust, aggregate, and share forecasts, handle exceptions, investigate anomalies, and see how demand factors affect results. Users can compare what-if scenarios before choosing a plan to execute. Connections are available through files and APIs, with named systems including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Visma, IFS, AS400, Databricks, and Snowflake. The SAP Connector supports S/4HANA on-premises, S/4HANA private cloud (RISE), and ECC 6.0 EHP8, but not S/4 public cloud (GROW) or earlier ECC versions. RELEX lists web as its platform.
