In their own words

DepWarden

DepWarden is a software composition analysis tool for checking dependency manifests against vulnerability, exploitability, supply-chain, package health and license data. It ranks findings using CISA KEV, FIRST EPSS, fix availability and dependency depth, and provides a copyable upgrade command. It supports npm, PyPI, Maven, Gradle, Go, RubyGems, Cargo, NuGet, Composer, Dart and Swift. The About page also describes source scanning across 15 languages and infrastructure-as-code formats with more than 300 rules. Users can submit CycloneDX or SPDX SBOMs and export an SBOM, OpenVEX document and NOTICE license file. GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps branches can be connected for scans and scheduled email reports. The free plan provides report-only scanning and cannot fail a build; paid plans add options such as build gating, SAST and scheduled delivery. The hosted service runs in Mumbai, India, and EU or US residency is not offered for hosted use. DepWarden lists web, Linux, macOS, Windows, API and self-hosted availability. It states that it has no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or equivalent third-party attestation, and has not commissioned an independent penetration test.

FossID Workbench

FossID Workbench is a software composition analysis tool for identifying and governing third-party software in codebases. It analyzes direct and transitive dependencies, scans unmanaged source code across programming languages, and detects embedded open-source snippets, including modified code. ID Assist proposes component identifications, while License Extractor extracts file-level license text. Vulnerable Snippet Finder locates code blocks linked to CVEs, with VEX data adding exploitability context. Workbench creates, imports, consolidates, and exports software bills of materials with component, license, vulnerability, and usage information in SPDX or CycloneDX formats. Policy Management can enforce license, security, and usage rules across projects. GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket imports are supported, alongside CI/CD scanning, gating, pull-request notifications, and API workflows. Deployment options include cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and offline air-gapped setups. It supports many ecosystems, including JavaScript, Java/Kotlin, Python, Rust, Go, C/C++, .NET, and others. Pricing is available on request.
