Overview

Design.com combines AI-assisted logo creation with tools for building a broader set of digital and print brand assets. It is best suited to startups and entrepreneurs who want to assemble launch materials in one web-based service. Its free logo downloads are unusually useful for trying a design in real projects, but a standard license is non-exclusive and a subscription covers only one logo.

Key features

Enter a business name or prompt with keywords and the logo generator produces options to filter and customize. Selected logos can be downloaded free as JPG, PNG, or vector PDF, EPS, and SVG; logo downloads also support those formats, while animated logos add MP4 and GIF. Transparent exports and commercial use rights help make the files practical for business use. The limits matter if a logo is central to a brand: font files cannot be downloaded, and the standard license allows other customers to purchase and use the same design.

More than 50 tools extend beyond logos to websites, business cards, flyers, posters, presentations, link-in-bio pages, background removal, and business or domain name tools. A brand kit and website builder can bring launch assets together: the builder supports templates, brand colors and logo, contact forms, online payments, hosting, and custom-domain connection. It can also link to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. That breadth is useful for a new business preparing multiple kinds of collateral, but it does not remove the one-logo subscription constraint: another library logo requires another subscription.

Pricing

The Free plan is free, billed $0 monthly. It includes AI logo generation, full customization, a brand kit, high-resolution PNG and JPG, vector EPS, SVG, and PDF files, and commercial use rights. It is a meaningful starting point for a business happy with a selected free logo, though the free offer is a selection rather than access to every library design.

Starter is 9.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and adds 50+ design tools and 630,000+ templates. It suits users who need a wider range of design work but not the website builder. Value is 14.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and includes everything in Starter plus the website builder; choose it if hosting, forms, payments, and custom-domain connection are part of the job. Premium is 19.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and adds link-in-bio tools and digital business cards to everything in Value. Those higher tiers make sense only when their extra tools match the work; all paid subscriptions remain scoped to one logo, with unlimited edits and variations for that logo. A different library logo requires an additional subscription.

Design.com also gives a paid-from figure of 3 /mo (annual), distinct from the monthly prices shown for Starter, Value, and Premium. That lower annual entry price may appeal to cost-focused buyers, but it does not change the one-logo scope or the non-exclusive standard license. Support is available at support@design.com, and professional designer support costs extra.

Platforms

Design.com runs on the web, making it a fit for users working in a browser rather than seeking a listed native mobile or desktop app. Its privacy policy says the company uses SSL with 128-bit encryption, PCI-compliant payment gateway providers, and AWS technology, and does not store complete credit card data. DesignCrowd Pty Ltd, trading as Design.com, is subject to Australia's Privacy Act and says it adheres to standards including GDPR and CCPA.

Who it's for

Design.com is a practical choice for startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses that want a logo plus a mix of website, print, and social assets from one service. It is less suitable for a buyer who requires an exclusive logo, downloadable font files, or multiple library logos under one subscription.

Pros and cons

Pro: Selected free logos include vector formats as well as JPG and PNG, giving a new business usable options without an initial payment.
Pro: The 50+ tools and website builder cover varied launch needs, from print materials to a hosted site with payments and a custom domain.
Con: Paid access covers one logo; choosing a different library design requires another subscription.
Con: The standard license is non-exclusive, and font files cannot be downloaded, limiting brand ownership and handoff flexibility.

Alternatives

For a broader set of logo-maker choices, see AI Logo Makers or Logo Design Software. For print-focused browsing, compare Print Design Template Libraries; for poster projects, see Poster Maker Software or Poster Design Software. Podcast artwork has its own category in Podcast Cover Maker Software.

Zoviz is worth considering if you want Android, iOS, macOS, web, and API platforms, though its Starter plan is 29.00 USD per month for one brand, 10 GB of storage, 300 AI credits per month, and one team member. Wix Logo Maker is another freemium option, with Android, iOS, and web support; its free plan provides 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, and up to 20 logos (estimate). Clearly Logo Maker is a freemium option for macOS and web. LOGO.com offers a web-based free plan limited to one logo, PNG output, and 100 MB of media storage. BrandCrowd Logo Maker is a direct freemium alternative with selected free logos and free editing and downloads; its Starter plan costs 9.00 USD per month and adds unlimited logo edits, high-resolution and vector downloads, and commercial use.

Logify is an iOS alternative with a free plan and trial. Logo Diffusion is a web-based option whose free plan offers 24 credits per month, about 12 logos, one concurrent generation, watermarked 512x512 downloads, and no commercial rights. SologoAI offers a web-based free tier with 10 one-time Sologo credits for new accounts; logo generation is included, and name-to-logo and brand-kit generation use no credits.

Verdict

Choose Design.com if you are launching a business and want free vector-capable logo downloads alongside a broad set of web, print, and brand tools. Look elsewhere if logo exclusivity, downloadable font files, or using multiple library logos within one subscription is essential.
