Overview

Designkit is an AI content platform for sellers and brands turning product photos into storefront and marketing assets. It suits commerce teams that need several image formats and short promotional videos from the same source material. Its breadth is appealing, but the Free plan excludes video generation and the paid plans have no stated prices.

Key features

From product photo to commerce assets

A single product image can be adapted into listing visuals, lifestyle scenes, AI model shots and ad creatives. The broader toolkit adds AI product photography, product-detail-page design, custom dimensions and background removal. That makes Designkit a practical fit for sellers who need varied product imagery rather than a general-purpose design workspace.

Video and batch editing

The video agent builds marketing videos from a product image and prompt, adding hooks, scenes, captions and platform formats. That offers a route from still product photography to promotional video, but the Free plan cannot generate videos; its five-second video-tool previews are a limited introduction, not a substitute for the paid video quotas. Online and bulk image editing round out the workflow, with bulk batches capped at 30 images—useful for repeated catalog work, though not an unlimited batch pipeline.

Credits and support

Purchased credits remain valid for one year, while membership credits expire with the membership period. Buyers relying on a monthly allowance should therefore plan to use it within that period. Support is offered by email, live chat and in-app feedback; the stated email response time is 3–10 business days, so email is not the best route for an urgent issue.

Pricing

Designkit is freemium and offers a free trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/month) and provides 20 first-login credits, up to 20 images and limited image generations. It has no video generation, with only five-second video-tool previews. This is a constrained way to try image creation, not a complete test of Designkit's video workflow.

Basic provides 500 credits/mo, up to 500 images, up to 33 five-second videos, one free custom AI avatar per week and five free tool videos per day. It is the lower-quota option for lighter recurring use. Pro raises that to 1,500 credits/mo, up to 1,500 images, up to 100 five-second videos, three free custom AI avatars per week and 15 free tool videos per day. That higher allowance better suits teams producing more assets, but without a stated price readers cannot assess the cost of the extra capacity. Both paid tiers' membership credits last only during the membership period.

Platforms

Designkit runs on Android, iOS and the web. Its image-generation, custom-dimension and background-removal capabilities are relevant to visual production across those platforms; the mobile availability may suit users who want access away from a desktop workflow.

Who it's for

Designkit is best for sellers and brands making product imagery for Amazon, Shopify and TikTok Shop, or adapting it for social content and paid ads. It is less compelling for someone who needs substantial video output before committing: the free tier omits generation, while the paid plans' prices are unstated. A team that mainly edits large image catalogs should also account for the 30-image batch ceiling.

Pros and cons

Pros: One product photo can feed listing, lifestyle, model and ad imagery, reducing the need to start each asset from scratch.
Pros: The video agent combines hooks, scenes, captions and platform formats, with paid-tier quotas of up to 100 five-second videos per month.
Pros: Custom dimensions, background removal and bulk editing support practical commerce image tasks; batches can contain up to 30 images.
Cons: Free users get no video generation, and the five-second previews do not provide the full video workflow.
Cons: Basic and Pro list meaningful credit and video allowances but no actual prices, making the cost of regular use hard to judge.
Cons: Membership credits expire when the membership period ends, unlike purchased credits, which last one year.

Alternatives

For a broader selection of tools in this category, browse AI Poster Generators.

LightX AI Poster Generator is a better fit for readers seeking a lower-cost poster and photo-editing option: its Starter plan is 0.00 USD per free (billed lifetime) and includes six daily free AI credits, photo editor tools and free design and video templates; Pro Subscription is 4.33 USD.
Ridvay suits readers who want a daily allowance for AI designs and images alongside manual designs, templates and common export formats. Its Free plan includes five AI designs and three AI images per day, plus PNG, JPG and PDF exports; Plus is 5.99 EUR per month.
Contentdrips is worth considering for brand-oriented content work: its Free plan includes 50 AI credits, basic templates and one brand, but no team members.
Piktochart is an alternative for web-based team work with stated storage and download limits: Free includes one to four team members, two downloads, 1 GB storage and 60 AI credits.
Kittl is another web-based design option, with a Free plan limited to five projects and 100 one-time AI tokens.
PosterGen is an alternative for readers comparing free poster-generation tools.
Bibby AI is another option for readers comparing AI content tools.
CREVION is an alternative for readers comparing AI design tools.

Verdict

Choose Designkit if your work starts with product photography and you want one platform for commerce images, editing and short marketing videos. Its strongest case is the range of assets that can come from one source image; its main drawback is that the Free plan stops short of video generation and the paid plans' prices are unstated. If you need predictable costs before committing or need video in a free tier, look elsewhere.
