Overview

Maxmove Digital POD is a delivery-proof system for fleets, forwarders and courier companies that need evidence attached to orders and passed into business systems. Its mix of app-based fleet capture and account-free QR or SMS links suits operations with both regular drivers and subcontractors. The free entry tier makes it accessible, but businesses wanting the complete fleet platform should weigh the 30-day evaluation against the lack of a stated price for a paid tier.

Key features

Multiple ways to capture proof

Records can include signatures, photos, PDF delivery notes, age verification, barcode scans, GPS timestamps and blockchain verification. That range is useful when a delivery needs more than a recipient’s signature, though it may be more than a simpler operation needs. QR-code and SMS links let drivers upload evidence from any device without installing an app or creating an account, reducing friction for occasional drivers. The native driver app automatically captures POD when the company fleet completes an order; subcontractors can use the same app-based process, keeping photo, signature and GPS evidence on the order.

Operational handoff and security

Delivery status is real-time, and proof is available when the driver completes the delivery, allowing completed orders to move into billing without waiting for paperwork. Webhooks, a REST API and SFTP export can send structured proof to TMS, ERP or customer portals. Uploads are timestamped, geofenced and cryptographically hashed, with configurable retention policies and GDPR-ready handling. These controls suit businesses that need traceable records, while API integration will be most useful to teams prepared to connect their systems.

Shopify and partner API

The Shopify app offers checkout delivery rates and synchronizes qualifying Shopify orders with a Maxmove business workspace. Partner API keys support organization-scoped permissions, test and live modes, signed webhooks and idempotency keys. Partner API routes allow up to ten intermediate stops and item arrays of one to one hundred lines, a useful boundary for integrations handling multi-stop orders or itemized deliveries.

Pricing

The Free entry tier costs 0.00 USD per free and includes Digital POD; it is cancellable monthly. It offers a no-cost way to use delivery proof without an installation or implementation project, with signature, photo and GPS evidence, real-time delivery status and API access. The free access is tied to Maxmove TMS’s entry tier, so it is best for businesses whose needs fit that platform rather than buyers seeking a separately priced POD subscription.

Maxmove also offers a free 30-day evaluation of the complete fleet platform without requiring a card. This gives businesses a time-limited way to assess the wider platform, but it is distinct from the free entry tier. No paid plan price is supplied, so businesses considering a broader deployment should expect custom pricing.

Platforms

Digital POD supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The app supports fleet capture, while QR and SMS links let drivers submit proof from any device without an account or app download.

Who it's for

Maxmove TMS is designed for fleets, forwarders and courier companies of every size. It is a strong fit for businesses that need proof from both company drivers and subcontractors, quick billing handoff, and connections to TMS, ERP or customer portals. Businesses that only need a small monthly job allowance or a standalone POD tool may prefer a plan with a clearly defined user and job cap.

Maxmove advertises dedicated account managers and round-the-clock priority support for businesses, which may matter to operations that need ongoing assistance.

Pros and cons

Pros: Several evidence types, including photos, signatures, GPS timestamps and barcode scans, support varied delivery requirements.
Pros: App-free QR and SMS capture links accommodate occasional drivers without accounts or downloads.
Pros: Proof is available on completion, supporting faster billing, and can be exported or integrated through webhooks, REST API or SFTP.
Cons: Free access is part of Maxmove TMS’s entry tier, rather than a separately priced standalone POD offer.
Cons: The complete fleet platform’s evaluation lasts 30 days; a continuing paid price is custom pricing.

Alternatives

Proof of Delivery Software is the broader category to browse if you want to compare more POD options.

Pocpod is worth considering for a tightly capped small operation: its free Basic plan covers one user and 10 jobs per month, with reports, online portal access and basic support. Its Premium plan is 20.00 GBP per month, billed, for buyers ready to move beyond that free cap.

SmartCourier may suit a small delivery team looking for a free Starter plan with up to three runners, one branch, GPS tracking, photo evidence and API access. Aptean Industrial Manufacturing ERP Traverse Edition is another option for buyers comparing a broader ERP product, with pricing provided on request and a free trial.

InfoTech Proof of Delivery App has a free app, but its use requires InfoTech weighbridge software and a POD licence. Civica Complaints Management is a paid alternative with pricing available by enquiry. DQT Proof of Delivery is another paid option for Android, iOS, web and API platforms. PODStar is paid, with a quote on request and no published price or plan limits stated. SimplyDepo may be relevant to buyers seeking a paid platform with a free trial; its SimplyAI Assistant add-on costs 19.00 USD per month, billed per rep, and is in beta.

Verdict

Choose Maxmove Digital POD if your fleet or courier operation needs varied delivery evidence, app-free capture for occasional drivers, and proof connected to orders and business systems. The included free entry tier lowers the cost of getting started, while the complete fleet platform has a 30-day evaluation. Look elsewhere if you need a standalone product with clearly priced paid plans or a small, explicit monthly job allowance.
