In their own words
DevGuard
DevGuard is an open-source developer security platform focused on hardening the software supply chain. It monitors deployed software for newly disclosed vulnerabilities and can create issues when new CVEs affect software. Risk scoring and exploit probability analysis help prioritize findings, while VEX assessment sharing supports review of potential false positives. The platform connects with GitHub and GitLab repositories, CI pipelines, and issue trackers, and can ingest SBOM, VEX, and SARIF inputs from compatible tools. Its scanner CLI supports software composition analysis, static application security testing, and signing attestations. A dependency firewall checks npm, Go, PyPI, and container image requests against a malicious package database and blocks known-bad releases. DevGuard also supports SBOM management, artifact signing, provenance attestations, and release policy gates. The source code is distributed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. The free self-hosted Open Source plan is for public projects with an OSI-approved license; non-commercial FLOSS projects can get SaaS free. Business SaaS costs €449.10 per month on a one-year contract paid yearly and includes 10 users, managed hosting in Germany, and support.
Kusari
Kusari is a software supply chain security platform that maps components across repositories, images, and pipelines in an evolving knowledge graph called the Trust Fabric. It builds that graph from source and build artifacts and enriches each node. Its Kusari Score weighs technical severity alongside reachability, exploitability, blast radius, effort to fix, ownership, and license. The platform accepts source and build artifacts, CycloneDX and SPDX SBOMs, VEX, and existing scanner output. Inspector reviews pull requests through GitHub, GitLab, or the CLI, returning a merge decision and a fix. Its checks cover vulnerabilities, transitive dependencies, secrets, typosquatted packages, licensing, unmaintained components, code weaknesses, and pipeline or image configuration. Reviews can include up to 2,000 dependency changes, with up to 1,000 high-priority changes examined in depth. Kusari lists integrations including GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, ServiceNow, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. The free plan includes unlimited public repositories and one private repository; Starter Team is $50 a month, with a 30-day free period.
