In their own words
DevLevelUp
DevLevelUp is an IT professional development platform for structured skills assessment and growth, serving individual specialists and companies. Its public competency matrix covers 70 IT roles, 517 skills, five levels, and 20,216 expectations. Individual tools include career-track visualization, vacancy analysis, a grade calculator, and development plans based on skill gaps. Teams can run self-assessments, manager reviews, and peer reviews, with company features such as review cycles, skill heatmaps, employee profiles, development goals, and team management. Automated GitHub Assessment examines languages, commits, pull requests, CI/CD, tests, and documentation, then reports an overall score from 0 to 5.0. The free team plan supports up to five users and one active review cycle, but excludes peer reviews and GitHub Assessment. Team Pro costs $49 a month and supports up to 50 users, unlimited review cycles, peer reviews, heatmaps, GitHub Assessment, and CSV export. Enterprise pricing is custom. The platform is available on web and API. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal data and describes HTTPS/TLS transmission and bcrypt-hashed passwords.
Skima
Skima is a people development platform for mapping team skills, identifying gaps, planning growth and tracking progress. Its executive dashboard shows KPIs, gap analysis and trends, while a heatmap matrix displays team strengths and gaps. Evaluations use a weighted formula based on level, frequency and criticality. Teams can connect goals to skill gaps and track actions through development plans, then compare team state across quarters, semesters and years. Data can be imported and exported in CSV and JSON formats. Skima works offline with data stored locally in SQLite; the product site says data stays on the user's machine. It is available as a desktop app, a Docker-hosted local web service or a build from source, and the README says it requires no account, cloud or tracking. Desktop updates are cryptographically signed; the updater is desktop-only, and Linux auto-update works for AppImage builds. Skima is free for personal use under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, with a commercial license available. Its intended users include CEOs and founders, operations and PMO teams, and analysts.
