In their own words
Dex
Dex is a personal CRM that brings together LinkedIn, email, and daily tools to help users maintain relationships and remember context. Contact records can hold details such as how people met, education, work, important dates, family, gift ideas, and event history. Dex can remind users to reconnect and alert them to upcoming birthdays. Its integrations include Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, two-way contact sync, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, iMessage, Superhuman, CSV, Granola, Zapier, and Dex MCP Server. Users can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or other MCP-compatible tools to their account and relationship data. The mobile app supports quick contact notes and meeting preparation information; desktop downloads are available for Mac and Windows. Premium costs $12 a month and includes LinkedIn sync for up to 2,500 connections. Professional costs $20 a month and supports up to 9,000 connections, with Mail Merge for personalized email workflows to up to 200 contacts. There is no free plan, but a 7-day trial is listed. Dex describes its focus as personal relationships rather than sales pipelines.
Revere
Revere is a notes app for remembering details about important relationships and keeping up with people. Users can save notes about conversations, gift ideas, projects or favourite drinks, then set reminders to reach out or follow up. Groups, family details, how-you-met notes, and birthday or other important-date reminders help organize those details; some features require Premium. Search is available, and the app can show phone contact details without uploading them to Revere. Notes are stored in the cloud and sync across iOS devices, including iPhone, iPad and Mac, through an account. The free plan costs $0.00 per free, has no time limit and does not cap people, notes or reminders. Premium includes in-app Face ID or Touch ID locking. AI Note Cleanup can shorten or reformat notes by sending them to Google for processing; Revere says notes are not stored or used to train AI models. Users can export data as CSV or permanently delete an account in settings. The U.S. App Store lists Premium at $4.99 per month; prices vary by country.
