Overview

Enflux consolidates information from learning management systems, assessment tools, surveys and exam results, with views spanning institution-level performance to individual student progress. Dashboards cover performance, advising, assessment analysis and accreditation reporting. That shared view can help leaders connect evidence across program operations; it is less compelling for institutions that need only one isolated reporting function.

A single instance can serve multiple programs, specializations or university systems, with filters for campuses and programs. The cloud-based service runs online without local installation, updates or dedicated IT setup. Enflux says it stores data on AWS with encryption in transit and at rest, and states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and FERPA compliant. It provides HECVAT and VPAT documentation and offers single sign-on for centralized access.

Key features

Analytics and early alerts

Custom dashboards, predictive analytics, learner risk scoring and intervention alerts help academic teams identify students who may need attention and organize proactive advising. Real-time risk indicators are useful when teams can act on them; the value depends on whether a program has advising processes ready to respond.

Competency mapping

CompetencyGenie uses AI to tag ExamSoft exam items, classify competencies and support curriculum alignment against discipline-specific frameworks and competency-based models. The Chrome extension is tailored to ExamSoft users, so it is most relevant to programs already using that assessment tool rather than institutions seeking a general-purpose mapping product. Its page states that the extension does not access student data, save questions or use data for unrelated purposes.

Accreditation and reporting

Enflux aligns curriculum, assessments and student outcomes to accreditation standards, with reporting and audit trails. Real-time reports also support curriculum evaluation. These functions make the platform a stronger fit for programs that need to connect routine assessment work with accreditation evidence than for teams seeking only student-risk alerts.

Pricing

Enflux is a paid platform with custom pricing; institutions are asked to request a demo or assessment call. No seat, usage or contract limits are stated for the platform, so buyers should establish scope and terms during that conversation.

The CompetencyGenie Chrome extension is free at 0.00 USD per free. No usage limit is stated. It is the lower-commitment option for ExamSoft users who want competency tagging, but it is not the full analytics, advising and accreditation platform.

Platforms

The platform is available on the web, and CompetencyGenie is available as a Chrome extension for ExamSoft users. Enflux operates online as a cloud service. Initial onboarding can be completed within a week, while most customers complete onboarding within 30 days of signing a contract. Support is available by live chat Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm CST, and by email.

Who it's for

Enflux is aimed at academic leaders and health professions programs, including pharmacy, physician assistant, medical, dental, nursing, physical therapy and allied health. Its multiple-program support suits institutions coordinating evidence across campuses or specializations. Programs outside those areas may still value the analytics and reporting, but the ExamSoft-focused mapping feature is less central to their needs.

Pros and cons

Connected institutional and student views: Data consolidation and dashboards span performance, advising, assessments and accreditation rather than focusing on a single reporting task.
Purpose-built competency mapping: CompetencyGenie tags ExamSoft items and supports curriculum alignment, a useful specialization for programs using ExamSoft.
Multi-program coverage: One instance can serve several programs and campuses with filters, which fits institutions coordinating across units.
Custom platform pricing: Buyers must request pricing, making cost comparison less direct before an assessment call.
Specialized extension: CompetencyGenie is for ExamSoft users, limiting its relevance to programs using other assessment tools.

Verdict

Choose Enflux if a health professions program needs connected performance, advising and accreditation analytics, especially when it uses ExamSoft and can benefit from CompetencyGenie. Its multi-program views and focused mapping tools are the clearest reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a single-purpose tool, do not use ExamSoft and have no need for the broader platform, or need a price that can be compared without a custom assessment.
