Overview

MyOrderBox is a restaurant delivery-management system that links point-of-sale, kitchen preparation and driver dispatch. It is best suited to takeaways and restaurant groups that run their own delivery fleet. Its connected workflow is useful, but it does not supply drivers.

Key features

The ePOS synchronizes orders with the driver app, and drivers can manage grouped deliveries on a map. Automatic grouping and order-specific address labels help keep multi-order runs organized; route optimization, postcode lookup, performance monitoring and driver payments cover further parts of a self-managed delivery operation. These tools can reduce coordination work, but restaurants still need to recruit and provide their own drivers.

Kitchen timing links dispatch to preparation: the ePOS can send an order to the kitchen when its driver is a specified time away, and the Kitchen Display System tells staff when to start. This can help avoid preparing food too early, although the workflow depends on the driver’s estimated arrival being a useful timing cue.

Customers can receive order-status updates and track drivers in real time through the app or website. MyOrderBox also lists integrations with Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo, plus aggregator providers such as Deliverect and Hubrise. That makes it a plausible fit for takeaways handling orders across several channels rather than only through their own ordering site.

The maker provides an online ordering website and an app for receiving orders, with branded ordering and driver apps compatible with iOS and Android. The ePOS can continue offline and sync when connectivity returns, but online orders still require an internet connection. Precise driver location may be collected while the app runs and a delivery is accepted or underway; disabling location prevents drivers from accepting or completing deliveries. MyOrderBox says it follows GDPR principles and uses third-party payment providers without seeing or storing card or payment information.

Pricing

Starter is free at £0 per month and includes unlimited orders from the restaurant’s own websites and POS software for one terminal. It is the clearest choice for a small takeaway that wants to start with its own online orders, but the one-terminal POS scope may be restrictive as operations grow.

Basic costs £29 per month and includes POS software for one terminal; it is aimed at takeaways that want the basics. Professional costs £59 per month and is positioned for takeaways seeking sales-boosting features, with 3 included. Enterprise costs £99 per month and is for brands and chains managing multiple locations, with multi-site support. The Professional plan’s “3 included” does not identify what is counted, so it is difficult to judge its capacity from that figure alone. The progression is straightforward: Basic keeps the single-terminal setup, while Enterprise is the stated multi-site option.

All customers receive email support and knowledge-base access; phone support is an add-on. Onboarding includes remote training. That provides a starting point for setup without making phone assistance part of the standard offer.

Platforms

MyOrderBox supports Android, iOS, web and Windows. The mobile apps cover both ordering and driver workflows, while web and Windows support the broader restaurant setup. This range suits operations using a mix of phones, desktops and browser access.

Who it's for

Choose MyOrderBox if you are a takeaway or restaurant group that already supplies drivers and wants one system to coordinate ePOS orders, kitchen timing, delivery tracking and multiple order channels. It is less suitable for a restaurant seeking a delivery provider to furnish drivers, or for a business that needs online orders to keep arriving during an internet outage.

Pros and cons

Pros: Dispatch, kitchen timing and customer tracking are connected, which can help restaurants coordinate preparation with driver collection.
Pros: Route optimization, grouped deliveries, labels and performance monitoring support the practical work of running an in-house fleet.
Pros: A free Starter plan includes unlimited orders from own websites, giving small operations a no-cost way to begin.
Cons: Restaurants must supply drivers, so the software does not solve the staffing requirement behind delivery.
Cons: Online orders require connectivity even though the ePOS can work offline, limiting continuity during an outage.
Cons: Phone support costs extra, and disabling driver location prevents accepting or completing deliveries.

Alternatives

Restaurant Delivery Management Software is the broader category to compare if you want to consider delivery-management options beyond MyOrderBox.

APPY Delivery is worth considering if a free digital QR menu is the priority: its AppyQR Free plan supports up to 50 products at one active location, while AppyQR Smart costs 7.50 EUR per month on an annual billing term.

Lunchbox may suit a business comparing a free offering for one or two locations; its listed plans include Free and Lunchbox SMB for that range.

Ordering.co is an option for readers who want a paid platform with a free trial and plans described by store and order capacities.

Shipday is a stronger fit if a stated monthly order cap is useful: its free Basic plan covers up to 300 orders per month and 10 driver accounts, and the full platform has a 14-day trial without a credit card.

Kappino may suit a business comparing paid plans that begin with a single main branch and three staff accounts.

Restroship is worth a look for a restaurant seeking a paid platform with a free trial and a branded customer app at its Starter tier.

Cartwheel is an alternative for readers weighing a paid delivery plan with a stated allowance of 400 deliveries and a per-order charge thereafter.

Dilivygo is another option for multi-location brands to compare.

Verdict

MyOrderBox is a sensible choice for takeaways and chains that already have drivers and want dispatch, kitchen timing and customer updates tied to their ePOS. The free entry plan and broad delivery toolkit make it easy to see the appeal; look elsewhere if you need drivers supplied, or if online ordering must continue without connectivity.
