Directio is a web platform for driving-school businesses, combining classroom content, scheduling, payments, paperwork, state credentials, and a marketing website. Its classroom supports editable lessons, quizzes, video, PDFs, images, and AI-assisted curriculum import. Scheduling includes parent self-service booking, instructor and vehicle conflict checks, lesson series, and automatic email reminders. A family portal shows progress timelines and lets families book or cancel lessons, sign waivers, record supervised drives, and download completion certificates. Stripe handles tuition through one-time, installment, and buy-now-pay-later options including Klarna or Affirm. Free costs nothing with unlimited students, enrollments, instructors, and vehicles; Studio costs $29 a month and adds a custom website and domain. Both charge a 2.5% payment fee capped at $15 per student. State coverage varies, and electronic DMV submission is limited to supported states on Pro.
MyDriveTime
MyDriveTime is a diary and administration app for driving instructors and schools, available on Android, iOS and the web. Instructors can schedule, cancel and rebook lessons and practical tests, record personal commitments, and share diary information with Google, Apple and Outlook calendars while choosing how much detail to share. Lesson tools include customizable syllabuses, reflective logs and journey tracking. Invited students can use a separate student app to track lessons and access instructor-selected resources. For finances, users can record income and expenses, track student balances, save receipt photos and export accounts in a standard spreadsheet format; configurable payment types are aligned with HMRC categories. Privacy Mode shows a diary without details. The company says its service has been available without interruption since October 2014 and invests in data and security systems. Support is available by email, phone or chat on weekdays from 9:30–5:00. A 30-day trial requires no card and can be cancelled at any time. The company also says it will migrate records from another system at no cost.
