DishMath
DishMath gives independent restaurants a way to examine the costs and margins of individual menu items, then sends weekly recommendations by SMS. It calculates food cost, labor cost, and contribution margin from POS sales and supplier invoices. Its weekly menu analysis sorts dishes into Stars, Plowhorses, Puzzles, or Dogs according to popularity and margin. Listed connections include Toast, Square for Restaurants, Clover, QuickBooks Online, and Xero, as well as labor tools, supplier invoice sources, and services such as DoorDash and OpenTable. TouchBistro, Lightspeed, and Revel connections are labeled beta; CSV import is offered as a fallback. The product runs on web and provides an API, including rate-limited REST access and webhooks for agencies and accountants. Group costs $149 a month, billed month-to-month; Solo costs $199 a month, billed month-to-month. Annual billing is listed as two months free. There is no free plan, but a 14-day trial is available.
Nexora
Nexora combines sales, labour, inventory, and store-level P&L data for multi-unit restaurant operators through web and API access. Its modules cover P&L and planning, store operations, inventory, forecasting, reviews, local events, and NexAI. Store-level P&L statements run from gross sales to net income and export to Excel or PDF. Labour views show costs, hours, and overtime by store and period, with overtime surfaced during the week. NexAI answers plain-language questions from live store data and shows the figures behind answers within each user’s permissions. Access is scoped by role and store for queries, reports, exports, and API keys. Connections include PAR POS, Slack, Google Calendar, QuickBooks, Google Business Profile, and API keys; Snowflake sync is marked coming soon. PAR is certified, while other POS systems exporting sales and timeclock data are assessed on request. Nexora says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, sign-in uses emailed one-time codes, and access events are logged. It targets groups with roughly three to three thousand locations. Pricing is quoted per group, with annual terms available.
