Automatic repair can rebuild an index, regenerate timestamps, discard corrupt packets, or remove a damaged audio track. It first tries to repack the video losslessly, keeping the original video and audio intact in a new container; re-encoding is a last resort. Diagnosis and repair run in the browser with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, and the page says the file is not uploaded or stored. Minitooler lists crashed screen recordings, interrupted phone or camera clips, unseekable videos, and drone or dashcam footage as use cases.
