In their own words
dmn Visualiser
dmn Visualiser turns music into real-time 3D visuals in a web browser, with more than 75 audio-reactive scenes. It analyzes audio locally for frequency bands, beats, BPM, pitch, and musical mood. Audio can come from system audio, browser tabs, audio devices, microphones, or file playback. The maker lists Spotify, Apple Music, DJ Pro, Traktor, Serato, and SoundCloud as compatible sources. Users can let the visualiser choose scenes, switch scenes manually, view them full-screen, and use Dampen mode oriented toward photosensitivity. The maker says GPU-accelerated rendering runs at 60fps and filters heavy shaders on lower-end devices. It says audio processing stays in the browser and audio data does not leave the device; network requests are for authentication and payment. Chrome and Edge support system-audio and tab capture, while Firefox and Safari render visuals but cannot capture audio from other apps. On phones, users can load files; Android users can also use a microphone. The free preview has five sessions, five minutes each, and five scenes. Full access costs $1, paid once.
Le Biniou
Le Biniou creates live visuals from audio performances or existing tracks, for artists, composers, VJs, and music fans. The open-source software lists more than 100 plugins for graphic effects, including more than 40 that react to sound. Users can arrange plugins into sequences, save them in banks, or have the software generate sequences in schemes mode. Audio inputs include JACK Audio, ALSA, PulseAudio, Open Sound System, Sndio, audio files, and OSC. Output options include MP4 recording, PNG images, RTMP streaming, and a V4L2 loopback device that can feed compatible video software such as OBS. It also handles live cameras and media types supported by FFmpeg or ImageMagick. A web interface can control a running instance over a network from another computer, tablet, or mobile device. The project lists GNU/Linux, Windows 10 with WSL2, Mac OS, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD among its minimum system requirements. Installation options include Debian and derivative distributions, Arch Linux, GitLab packages, and Flatpak. Le Biniou is free.
