In their own words

DocMake

DocMake generates Word (DOCX) and PDF files by merging data into reusable templates. Templates are made in a visual, Word-like editor with blanks, conditional sections, and repeatable content. Users can fill them in the app, share a form link that someone can complete without an account, or send JSON through the REST API. The same template produces native DOCX files and print-accurate PDFs with matching layouts. Existing DOCX files can be imported as editable templates while retaining headings, tables, headers, and footers. AI can draft template content, and templates can be translated into eight languages while keeping their structure and blanks. Team workspaces include shared templates, per-team API keys, custom fonts, and an audit log. The Free plan is an unlimited-time trial with no credit card required; it allows 1,000 documents per month and adds a DocMake footer. Pro costs $29 a month.

TemplateDocs

TemplateDocs automates document workflows from collecting information through generating and delivering files. It uses Microsoft Word DOCX templates to create DOCX and PDF output while preserving Word formatting. Templates can contain dynamic text, links, images, repeated sections, and tables. Workflows accept online forms, webhooks, CSV files, JSON or API payloads, and connected apps, then apply conditions and formulas before sending results by email or integrations. A CSV can run a workflow once per row, and bulk documents can be packaged as a ZIP. Integrations include Zapier, Make, and viaSocket. The REST API manages templates and generates documents, with documented quota and rate-limit errors. Listed uses include proposals, invoices, HR onboarding, certificates, labels, reports, law firms, real estate, and accounting. The free plan costs nothing and includes 50 credits, two seats, five templates, five workflows, and 30 days of run history. Paid plans start at $29 a month.
