In their own words
Dossier
Dossier is a web-based healthcare competency management platform from Dossier Solutions. It gives healthcare organizations one system for assigning, tracking, validating, documenting, and reporting workforce competencies. A centralized dashboard shows competency status across roles, departments, and locations, with progress updated in real time. Education teams and department leaders can publish changed requirements, while notifications can alert employees who are falling behind. Reports present status, gaps, and trends for an individual, department, or organization. Dossier brings learning materials into competency workflows, including LMS content, simulations, and clinical education resources. Named connected sources include ASHP, CriticalPoint, Mosby, and AORN. Organizations can map competencies to roles, create development plans, analyze gaps, and use education, observation, practice, assessment, and validation methods. It is presented for clinical and nonclinical teams in nursing, imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and ambulatory care. Pricing is on request, and the platform is available on the web.
Skima
Skima is a people development platform for mapping team skills, identifying gaps, planning growth and tracking progress. Its executive dashboard shows KPIs, gap analysis and trends, while a heatmap matrix displays team strengths and gaps. Evaluations use a weighted formula based on level, frequency and criticality. Teams can connect goals to skill gaps and track actions through development plans, then compare team state across quarters, semesters and years. Data can be imported and exported in CSV and JSON formats. Skima works offline with data stored locally in SQLite; the product site says data stays on the user's machine. It is available as a desktop app, a Docker-hosted local web service or a build from source, and the README says it requires no account, cloud or tracking. Desktop updates are cryptographically signed; the updater is desktop-only, and Linux auto-update works for AppImage builds. Skima is free for personal use under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, with a commercial license available. Its intended users include CEOs and founders, operations and PMO teams, and analysts.
