Overview

MConverter brings many file categories into one service and can convert files with different source formats to a shared target format in one batch. Folder input can include compatible files in subfolders, which helps when a job spans an organized collection rather than a handful of individually selected files.

Users can select files from Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox; a Google Workspace Marketplace app also supports conversion in Drive. The API covers automated file conversion and PDF compression, with integration options including Make.com and similar platforms. These features make MConverter a better fit for repeatable workflows than for someone who only needs an occasional single-file conversion.

Key features

Capacity is the key practical distinction between plans. Free permits 15 files per day, eight files at once and 100 MB per file. Plus raises the simultaneous-file allowance to 250 and the file limit to 1 GB while removing the daily conversion cap; Pro and Max raise those ceilings further. The free allowance is usable for light workloads, but its daily quota and per-file limit can rule out larger or recurring jobs.

MConverter says each conversion runs in its own isolated environment, uploads use TLS 1.3 and HSTS, and files are deleted from its servers four hours after conversion, with immediate deletion also available. It says it processes files in-house and does not provide files to third parties for advertising or marketing. Its cloud providers hold ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 certifications. These are relevant safeguards for an online conversion service, though they may not satisfy organizations that require a different security or retention policy.

Pricing

The freemium structure lets occasional users try the core workflow without a subscription, while monthly plans trade higher capacity and support for recurring cost. All three paid monthly plans include unlimited daily conversions, but differ in batch size, maximum file size and support.

Plan	Price	Capacity and terms
Free	Free	15 files/day; 8 files at once; 100 MB/file
Plus	12.99 USD per month (billed monthly)	250 files at once; 1 GB/file; unlimited daily conversions; no ads; human customer support
Pro	25.99 USD per month (billed monthly)	750 files at once; 2 GB/file; unlimited daily conversions; priority human customer support
Max	33.99 USD per month (billed monthly)	1,000 files at once; 10 GB/file; unlimited daily conversions; priority human customer support
One-Day Pass	Custom pricing	Full access for 24 hours; all Plus features; no subscription

Plus is the most economical paid option for users who need higher limits, an ad-free experience and human support but can work within a 1 GB file ceiling. Pro is for larger batches and priority assistance, while Max is the fit for jobs involving files up to 10 GB or batches of up to 1,000. Free is sufficient for modest, small-file use; the One-Day Pass suits a short burst of work without an ongoing subscription, though its price is custom.

Platforms

MConverter supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows and web, as well as an extension and API. That range gives users desktop, mobile and browser-based routes, while API access supports automation. The service describes deployment as both.

Who it's for

MConverter is a strong fit for people who regularly convert mixed file collections, draw files from cloud storage, or automate conversions through an API. It is less compelling for a light user whose work fits a simpler free tool, or for frequent large-file conversion on Free. Buyers who need predictable ongoing volume should compare the monthly cost with the per-file and batch limits before choosing a plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: Mixed-format batches, folder input and cloud selection support more involved jobs without requiring one-file-at-a-time handling.
Pro: API conversion and PDF compression can support repeatable automated workflows.
Pro: Immediate deletion is an option alongside automatic four-hour retention.
Con: Free allows only 15 files per day and 100 MB per file, limiting its usefulness for sustained or large-file work.
Con: Higher capacity requires monthly payment, and the no-subscription One-Day Pass has custom pricing.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see File Conversion Software. Choose Zamzar API instead when a free API option with no card requirement and 100 conversion credits suits the job; its test plan caps files at 1 MB and stores them for one day. FreeConvert GIF Maker is an alternative for GIF-making workflows, with a free allowance of 20 conversion minutes per day and five minutes per file.

AnyConv is worth considering for free conversions up to 100 MB, with up to 60 files per hour and no registration. For commercial document-conversion work on macOS or Windows, Doxillion Document Converter offers a separate desktop option; its free version is for non-commercial use and supports fewer formats for home use. Convertio is another cross-platform freemium service, with a Lite plan at 11.99 USD per month, a 1 GB file limit and 1,000 monthly conversion credits.

For desktop video conversion, Freemake Video Converter offers a free version with core conversion features and no expiration. Any Video Converter is a free-tier alternative for macOS and Windows. HandBrake is a free desktop option for Linux, macOS and Windows.

Verdict

MConverter is a sound choice for users who need mixed-format batch conversion, cloud-file selection or API-driven workflows across several platforms. Its isolated processing and short automatic retention are useful safeguards, and paid plans scale to 10 GB files and 1,000-file batches. Look elsewhere if your work is occasional and simple, or if the free tier’s 100 MB ceiling and daily quota are too restrictive and monthly capacity is not worth paying for.
