Overview

Eat App serves restaurants, cafés, hotels, bars, breweries, nightlife venues, and hospitality groups. It combines round-the-clock online booking through venue websites, social media, and a partner network with table management, guest CRM, and reporting. Offline-capable mobile and iPad apps sync when connectivity returns, which helps keep service moving through an internet outage.

Key features

Bookings and service flow

Timeline, grid, floor, and list views give staff different ways to manage tables. Capacity controls and pacing tools make the platform useful for coordinating reservations with seating flow, not merely collecting bookings. Venues that only need a simple booking page may not need this wider operational toolkit.

Guest relationships and reporting

Profiles capture guest preferences, history, and spending. Teams can segment those records for targeted email and SMS campaigns, while reports cover busy periods, no-shows, waitlists, guest trends, and spending patterns. This makes Eat App a stronger fit for operators who want to use reservation data for follow-up and planning, rather than just maintain a booking log.

Connections and safeguards

Its integrations directory spans POS, voice, payment, booking-channel, hotel and property-management, and printer systems, with examples including Lightspeed, Google, Instagram, Stripe, and Mews. Eat App states that it holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications and is GDPR compliant. It says data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256, with role-based access controls, regular access reviews, redundant infrastructure, daily backups, 24/7 monitoring, and a tested incident response plan.

Pricing

Eat App has a free plan, paid plans, and a 14-day trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per month and is limited to 100 guests monthly. That cap makes it useful for a small venue testing the workflow, but a poor fit once guest volume regularly exceeds the allowance.

Lite: 99.00 USD per month, or a yearly option at $69/mo. It includes unlimited guests and 200 WhatsApp messages. The yearly rate is the lowest paid entry point, but the message allowance is modest for venues that rely heavily on WhatsApp.
Core: 199.00 USD per month, or a yearly option at $159/mo. It adds the full suite, 500 WhatsApp messages, white-labeling and a marketing suite, and Core AI. Choose it when those marketing and branding tools justify stepping up from Lite.
Pro: 389.00 USD per month, or a yearly option at $299/mo. It includes everything in Core, 1,500 WhatsApp messages, a shared group database, POS and payments integration, a private success manager, and Pro AI. Its higher cost is most defensible for groups or venues that need those integrations and dedicated support.
Enterprise: custom pricing for multi-venue groups, with the complete AI package included. Enterprise features include support for SSO/SCIM, audit logs, and granular permission management, making this the relevant tier for groups with those administrative needs.

Payment integration and POS integration are also shown at $39/mo each. Since Pro includes POS and payments integration, buyers should compare those add-on rates with the plan upgrade against their needs.

Platforms

Eat App runs on Android, iOS, and the web. Its mobile and iPad apps support offline use and sync automatically when a connection is available.

Who it's for

Eat App is best suited to hospitality businesses that want reservations, seating operations, and guest marketing in one system. Its audience spans single venues and hospitality groups, with the Pro and Enterprise features addressing shared group data and multi-venue administration. A venue needing only basic bookings, or one that cannot stay within the Free plan’s guest cap, should weigh its usage and plan costs carefully.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple floor views, capacity controls, and pacing tools connect booking intake with service flow.
Pro: Guest profiles, campaign segmentation, and reports support follow-up and operational planning from the same platform.
Pro: Offline-capable mobile and iPad apps can sync later, reducing reliance on a live connection during service.
Con: The free tier stops at 100 guests monthly, limiting its usefulness for busier venues.
Con: POS and payment integrations carry separate $39/mo rates unless using the Pro tier, so integration needs can change the cost calculation.

Alternatives

TableSat is a freemium alternative with Android, iOS, and web support; its free plan offers a public profile menu page and guest-facing restaurant page, but no online bookings. It is worth considering when those pages matter more than taking bookings through the product.

HungerRush has a free Starter plan subject to qualification criteria, limited to one location and one POS terminal. It may suit a qualifying operator whose immediate need is a single-location POS setup.

Odoo Point of Sale offers a free One App plan with unlimited users on Odoo Online. Consider it when that single-app arrangement is a closer fit than Eat App’s reservation and guest-management focus.

Resos has a Basic plan at 4523.00 EUR per month, with 350 bookings per month and all core features. Its booking allowance may appeal to venues comparing a defined monthly quota with Eat App’s guest-based free cap.

SpotOn Restaurant is a paid alternative with POS software and hardware, ordering, payments, table layouts, menu management, and reporting in its All-In Plan; processing minimums and a two-year minimum term apply.

GetReserve offers a free plan with an online booking page, reservation book, one floor-plan space, and guest profiles with visit history. It is a relevant alternative for venues seeking a basic free booking setup.

POSUMI is a paid alternative with a free trial and offers additional team seats at $10/seat/mo beyond the plan limit; Enterprise seats are included.

Wix Restaurants Table Reservations is free to install, though online table bookings require an upgraded site plan.

Verdict

Choose Eat App if your venue needs reservations, table operations, and guest CRM together, particularly if you will use its reporting, integrations, or offline-capable apps. Look elsewhere if you need only a basic booking page or if the free guest cap and paid integration costs do not fit your volume and budget.
