In their own words

Edabit

Edabit is a web-based service for practicing programming through interactive coding challenges. Its library is described as containing more than 10,000 problems, with C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Swift among the supported languages. Learners submit code and see test results; hints use that context to guide them without simply supplying answers. The site tracks solved challenges and levels, and awards XP according to challenge difficulty. All challenges are free to complete, and the listed Free plan costs nothing. Edabit says it is not currently selling new memberships, and does not offer student-specific or school plans. It is designed primarily for desktop use because coding works best with a physical keyboard. The service is available only to people at least 13 years old. Its privacy policy says passwords are stored encrypted, browser-server traffic uses SSL or HTTPS, and personal information is not shared for marketing or advertising. Session recordings can retain page structure and interactions for up to 30 days.

Educative

Educative is an online learning platform built around interactive, text-based coding courses and browser-based practice for developers and tech professionals. Its library covers system design, generative AI, web development, machine learning and data science, with programming topics including Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, C++, C and Go. Learners can use coding exercises and challenges, projects in preconfigured environments and AWS Cloud Labs. Coding assistance includes personalized hints and feedback, an integrated debugger, assessment feedback, roadmaps and an AI tutor that generates tutorials with executable code and diagrams. Interview preparation includes Grokking courses, personalized prep plans, AI mock interviews and an interview coach. Educative says every course has free lessons and offers some interactive free courses. Individual trials last 21 days and exclude interview preparation courses. Educative Go is free to download, though some courses and features require an active subscription; its selected mobile course content is optimized for review, and course progress does not sync between mobile and desktop. Enterprise is for software engineering teams, with custom onboarding plans, task and blocker notifications, progress dashboards and connections to Confluence and documentation. Subscribers can cancel auto-renewal but are not refunded for the paid period.
