In their own words

EduVizio

EduVizio is a cloud school ERP for school operations, accounting, payroll, and AI, presented for individual schools and multi-campus groups. It supports CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, and State Boards, and lists more than 18 modules, including student information, admissions, attendance, exams, transport, library, inventory, parent app, and timetable. AI tools draft report-card remarks, flag learning gaps, and score admission leads.

Schools can collect fees by UPI, cards, or netbanking, issue receipts and reminders, and post collected fees to a double-entry ledger. Other listed finance features include purchasing workflows and GST e-invoicing. Parent communications support push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp, and email. EduVizio states that data is encrypted in transit and at rest, schools are isolated, and access includes role-based controls and append-only audit trails. It also lists automated backups and quick restore. Multi-campus groups can use consolidated finance, campus controls, SSO with enforced MFA, custom roles, and regional data residency. Pricing is per student, but exact prices are not shown; every tier has a free first month. A free 30-minute walkthrough is also advertised.

OpenEduCat

OpenEduCat is a modular education platform for institutions, available through cloud hosting or on-premise deployment. Institutions can select modules and add more as needed, with no per-student fees. Its systems connect student information with admissions, fees, library, hostel, and other institutional functions; the SIS supports real-time collaboration around student data. Community Edition supports standards and sign-on options including SCORM, xAPI, LTI 1.3, SAML, Shibboleth, OAuth2, Azure AD, and Google Workspace. The platform also lists assessments, certificates, API access, and Android and iOS apps. Its Free Edition has no learner cap or time limit, although capacity depends on hardware. The Free Edition uses the LGPL-3.0 license, with source code public on GitHub; institutions own their data and can self-host without student limits or license call-home. Self-hosting can use Linux, Python 3.10+, and PostgreSQL 14+. A 15-day trial is offered without a credit card. The listed Core plan is $489 a year, and the site lists a No Refund Policy.
