In their own words
eG Enterprise
eG Enterprise is an application and infrastructure monitoring platform from eG Innovations, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Singapore. It correlates user experience, application behavior, and infrastructure health to help identify why applications are slow. Transaction tracing follows Java and.NET activity across application tiers, including errors, database queries, and remote service calls. Agentless digital user experience monitoring identifies slow pages, affected locations, and whether delays arise in browsers, networks, content, or server processing. The Web App Simulator records and replays journeys, runs scripts from multiple locations, and captures failure screenshots. Coverage spans more than 650 technologies across applications, clouds, virtualization, operating systems, storage, networks, custom applications, and containers. Deployment can be SaaS or on premises for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Service desk, orchestration, DevOps, and ServiceNow integrations support incident workflows. Pricing starts at $100 per month, with a 21-day trial and no free plan.
Performance Co-Pilot
Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) is a free, open-source, self-hosted toolkit and framework for system performance monitoring and management. It gathers metrics from systems, combines data from multiple hosts and operating systems, and supports both real-time and historical analysis. Users can compare hosts and time periods to find trends or unusual patterns. Agents collect information about CPU, disks, memory, networking, filesystems, databases, web servers, mail systems, and cluster infrastructure. Its client-server architecture allows several clients to monitor one host or one client to monitor many hosts. APIs, libraries, and a plugin framework let applications and other sources provide or use performance data. PCP offers integrations including a Grafana plugin, Ansible roles, Java instrumentation, and a PDF graph converter. Optional encrypted connections, authentication, and access restrictions are available. Linux distribution packages and a macOS installer are listed; Windows and Solaris require source builds.
