Overview

Soclo is an AI marketing app for small and medium businesses that want to coordinate content, advertising and customer-facing work. It is best suited to owners who value a broad toolkit over a dedicated tool for one task. The ongoing free plan allows manual publishing, while AI-assisted work draws on monthly credits or separately purchased packs.

Key features

Soclo brings marketing strategy, AI content and adverts, social publishing, website building, bookings, payments, analytics and a unified social inbox together. The inbox includes comment management and reply automation, making the app relevant beyond campaign creation. That breadth can reduce the need to move between tools, but a business focused chiefly on customer support may find a specialist service platform a better fit.

Autopilot and publishing

Autopilot plans, creates and schedules content to a chosen rhythm. Approval is required by default, with optional automatic posting by content type. That balance gives owners a review point without requiring them to approve every category of routine content. Approved posts can go to connected Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, X, Pinterest and Discord accounts.

Advertising and AI connections

Soclo supports paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X and Google. Ads Watch can monitor live campaigns and pause wasteful spend, which is useful for businesses running campaigns across several channels. Soclo MCP connects with Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Kimi and other remote MCP clients. Users approve MCP permissions through Soclo’s consent page; their password is not shared with the assistant, and connections can be disconnected at any time.

Security and certification

Soclo says it uses HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, encryption at rest where its storage systems provide it, and separate protection for connected-account tokens. It has not completed SOC 2, ISO or other certifications and does not display those audit badges before completion. Businesses that require completed third-party certification should look elsewhere.

Pricing

Soclo is freemium. The Free plan costs £0/month and includes no monthly AI credits, but lets users connect accounts and publish manually. One-off credit packs are sold separately and do not expire, so occasional AI use need not mean a recurring subscription; the free plan is not a fit for regular AI-assisted work.

Starter costs £7.99/month or £79.99/year and includes 200 credits each month. Pro is £19.99/month or £199.99/year for 800 monthly credits. These are the lower paid options for businesses that need recurring AI capacity; the practical difference is how much work the monthly allowance must cover.

Business costs £49.99/month or £479.99/year and includes 2,500 monthly credits. Autonomy costs £99.99/month or £959.99/year and includes 6,000. Their larger allowances suit businesses with heavier ongoing use, but the credit totals alone do not establish which tier will cover a particular workflow.

Where offered in the app store, monthly Starter and Pro subscriptions include a 3-day free trial. Yearly subscriptions, Business and Autonomy have no trial. The trial is brief, and eligibility depends on the app store offer; buyers should check it before committing.

Soclo Pages has a stated launch model of 120 credits to activate and 120 credits monthly per site, but activation and renewal charging are not live yet. This is a planned charging model, not a current cost to include in a purchase decision.

Platforms

Soclo is available on Android, iOS, macOS and the web, giving businesses mobile and desktop access. Its mobile app may suit owners managing publishing or customer interactions away from a desk.

Who it's for

Soclo identifies small and medium businesses as its audience, including shops, trades, salons, hospitality businesses, agencies, estate agents, clinics and professional services. It is a stronger fit when one business needs content planning, publishing, advertising and some customer-facing functions together. A business needing only a social inbox or support operation may not benefit from its wider marketing scope.

Pros and cons

Pros: A wide combination of marketing and business tools, including publishing, ads, bookings, payments and analytics, can bring related work into one app.
Pros: Approval is the default for Autopilot publishing, while optional automatic posting supports selected content types.
Pros: The free plan supports manual publishing, and separately purchased credit packs do not expire.
Cons: The free plan has no monthly AI credits, so recurring AI-assisted work requires a paid plan or credit packs.
Cons: The 3-day trial applies only to eligible monthly Starter and Pro subscriptions, not yearly plans, Business or Autonomy.
Cons: Soclo has not completed SOC 2, ISO or other certifications, which may rule it out for buyers with formal audit requirements.

Alternatives

For a dedicated customer-service focus, compare Social Customer Service Software and Social Media Customer Service Software.

Sendiee Teambox is worth considering for a free entry point with one channel, one AI assistant, 1,000 contacts, 1,000 conversations per month and one team member; Soclo’s free plan instead centers on manual publishing and has no monthly AI credits.

Mixdesk may suit a buyer prioritizing a free inbox with 10 conversations and 10 connected channel accounts, though its free plan has no AI messages. Soclo combines inbox functions with a broader marketing toolkit.

Trengo is a paid alternative with no free plan; its Boost plan is €299.00 per month billed annually for 10 users and 6,000 conversations per year. That makes it a different proposition for teams assessing a defined conversation allowance rather than Soclo’s credit-based marketing plans.

Desku AI Chatbot Builder offers a free plan with two agents and one inbox, so it is a relevant alternative for a small team centered on an inbox rather than Soclo’s wider marketing needs.

Upcellia has a free plan with one channel, one user, one mailbox and 100 conversations per month, and may suit buyers seeking a capped free mailbox without a trial.

Chattrik Omni Channel starts at $14.99 per month per seat for its Starter plan, which includes an AI chatbot, omni-channel capability, a chat widget and email support. It is a paid alternative for buyers seeking those stated support features rather than Soclo’s combination of marketing and business tools.

Pancake is another alternative to compare when considering a multi-platform tool.

Respond.io has a paid Starter plan at $79 per month billed monthly, or $948 per year billed yearly, with five users, unlimited monthly active contacts and 5,000 AI credits. It may suit teams that need those stated contact and user allowances, while Soclo’s plans pair credits with broader marketing functions.

Verdict

Choose Soclo if you run a small or medium business and want content, publishing, ads and customer-facing tools under one roof, with manual publishing available at no monthly cost. Look elsewhere if you need monthly AI use without managing credit allowances, a focused support platform, or completed security certifications.
