Elden Ring SaveForge is a free Windows desktop application for editing Elden Ring save files. It reads, edits, and writes PC Steam .sl2 and PS4 memory.dat saves, and converts between those formats. Character controls cover level, attributes, runes, NG+ cycle, class, body type, talisman slots, and memory stones. An item database supports search, categories, favorites, item details, and additions to inventory or storage with capacity checks. Save diagnostics scan for inventory problems and provide repair flows for supported issues, including quantity limits and duplicate or index problems. Safe, Expanded Limits, and Chaos profiles manage item limits and risky or cut-content items, with warnings and confirmation gates for dangerous actions. Save writes are backed up automatically, and Chaos Mode requires a separate backup gate. The project describes the application as early and unstable, warning that it can irrecoverably corrupt saves; it advises using copies rather than a main account or primary save.
