In their own words
Elementor
Elementor is a platform for building, optimizing, managing, and scaling WordPress websites. Its live drag-and-drop editor lets creators construct pages, and the free plugin includes core builder features and 32 widgets. Elementor also advertises more than 100 design, marketing, and ecommerce widgets, with tools for theme building, dynamic content, popups, and WooCommerce stores. AI tools can generate pages, layouts, images, content, and code. The platform supports more than 60,000 WordPress repository plugins; listed form connections include Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zapier, Slack, and webhooks, though integrations require qualifying plans. Elementor works with self-hosted WordPress.org and WordPress.com, where Business is required. Editing is desktop-only, not available on phones or tablets. A no-cost Editor tier is available, with no free trial. Displayed paid plans are billed annually and renew at the regular rate; the pricing page states a 30-day money-back guarantee. Elementor is made by a company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Israel.
Oxygen
Oxygen is a visual website builder for WordPress that works through manual editing or compatible AI agents. It installs as a plugin on an existing WordPress site, including local, staging, or live installations; a hosted demo is also available. The editor provides controls for Flexbox, CSS Grid, responsive breakpoints, semantic HTML, and HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code blocks. Reusable components, CSS variables, selectors, and JSON export for design tokens support design-system work. Dynamic fields, conditions, and query loops can use ACF, Meta Box, and ACPT content. Oxygen's Agent Connector, MCP server, and Abilities API support agents such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode, which can build pages, content types, templates, plugins, and content. The complete editor and AI tooling are free to try through a plugin, local setup, or hosted demo; the demo expires after four hours. AI credits are not sold by Oxygen, so users bring an agent under the vendor's own plan. Listed lifetime-billed plans include Basic at $129 a month, WooCommerce at $149 a month, and Ultimate at $179 a month. A separate lifetime license is $199.50 as a one-time purchase.
