Elementor
Elementor is a platform for building, optimizing, managing, and scaling WordPress websites. Its live drag-and-drop editor lets creators construct pages, and the free plugin includes core builder features and 32 widgets. Elementor also advertises more than 100 design, marketing, and ecommerce widgets, with tools for theme building, dynamic content, popups, and WooCommerce stores. AI tools can generate pages, layouts, images, content, and code. The platform supports more than 60,000 WordPress repository plugins; listed form connections include Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zapier, Slack, and webhooks, though integrations require qualifying plans. Elementor works with self-hosted WordPress.org and WordPress.com, where Business is required. Editing is desktop-only, not available on phones or tablets. A no-cost Editor tier is available, with no free trial. Displayed paid plans are billed annually and renew at the regular rate; the pricing page states a 30-day money-back guarantee. Elementor is made by a company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Israel.
SiteOrigin Page Builder
SiteOrigin Page Builder is a free WordPress plugin for creating custom layouts from widgets arranged in responsive rows and columns. Columns stack on mobile, and the Live Editor lets you change pages on the frontend while seeing the result immediately. A History Browser moves backward and forward through edits, while the SiteOrigin Layout Block places full Page Builder layouts inside WordPress's Block Editor. Styling controls cover row backgrounds, padding, margins, borders, full-width sections, parallax backgrounds, and custom CSS classes. The plugin works in a theme's content loop and SiteOrigin says it works with most WordPress themes without changes. The Widgets Bundle adds 28 free widgets, including maps, contact forms, sliders, carousels, and price tables. SiteOrigin says only widgets in use load CSS and JavaScript. Requirements are WordPress 5.0 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. Paid plans add 45 premium addons.
