Vox9 is an audiobook platform for serialized fiction, where listeners can stream episodes for free and independent authors can publish them. Its genres include science fiction, fantasy, HFY and horror. Authors may narrate with more than 100 AI voices or upload human narration; episodes can pair audio with synchronized scene images and captions, and existing YouTube videos can be imported as episodes. Listener access is free, and no account is needed to begin listening. A free author account includes 100,000 narration characters per month, described as roughly 1.5 hours of audio, with no credit card required. Paid plans start at $7.99/mo; one-time credit packs cost $3.00, $12.00 or $22.00, and purchased credits do not expire. Authors keep 50% of subscription payments and 80% of tips, with PayPal payouts once the balance reaches $9. Vox9 is available on Android, iOS and the web. The maker says authors retain ownership of uploaded text and MP3 audio, can delete their content, and their materials are not used to train AI models.
