Overview

Elite Insights turns Guild Wars 2 ArcDPS combat logs into reports for players who want to investigate encounters beyond a single damage figure. It is a strong fit for detailed log review and replay analysis, provided you are comfortable with its .NET runtime requirement.

Key features

HTML reports combine Statistics, Combat Replay, and Healing Statistics. Statistics cover damage, gameplay, offense, defense, support, buffs, damage modifiers, mechanics, graphs, rotations, and player and target summaries. That range makes the parser useful for examining different aspects of a fight; healing analysis has an extra dependency, the ArcDPS Healing Stats Extension.

Combat Replay offers animation controls, pan and zoom, damage tables, player and target status, mechanics filters, markers, and range or cone indicators. These tools give log-focused players ways to examine events and positioning, rather than relying on summaries alone. The EVTC Inspector adds filtered, selectable details for events, agents, skills, content GUIDs, and combat items.

You can add .evtc, .evtc.zip, and .zevtc files, populate a directory, or drag and drop files. Settings can produce HTML, CSV, JSON, XML, and trace outputs. Console settings support uploads to dps.report and Wingman, as well as Discord webhook messages. The Anonymous setting obfuscates player character and account names in generated output. An OpenPGP key is provided to verify release signatures.

Pricing

Elite Insights is free: its MIT-licensed plan is free and is provided as-is under the license conditions. There is no free trial because no paid plan is required. This suits players who want a no-cost parser and are comfortable using software offered as-is.

Platforms

Elite Insights supports Linux, macOS, Windows, and self-hosted use. The current setup requires .NET 8.0, with ASP.NET Core Runtime instructions for Linux and macOS. That runtime requirement is a practical consideration for anyone who wants to get straight to parsing without configuring a runtime.

Who it's for

Choose Elite Insights if you play Guild Wars 2, work with ArcDPS combat logs, and want detailed report modules, replay tools, or export formats. It is less suitable if you need live overlays: it does not provide one. Players seeking healing statistics should also be prepared to use the separate extension.

Pros and cons

Pro: Broad statistics and replay controls support detailed encounter review, including mechanics, positioning, and player or target status.
Pro: HTML, CSV, JSON, XML, and trace outputs give users several ways to retain or work with parsed results.
Pro: Anonymous output obfuscates player character and account names.
Con: Healing statistics depend on the ArcDPS Healing Stats Extension rather than working as a self-contained capability.
Con: The .NET 8.0 requirement adds a runtime prerequisite, and there is no live overlay.

Alternatives

For another Guild Wars 2 log-focused option, compare Fellowship Logs, which has a free plan and paid Silver and Gold subscriptions. If your focus is a World of Warcraft addon, Skada is free and supports Retail, MoP Classic, and Classic. FF Logs and Warcraft Logs are freemium alternatives with paid Silver and Gold plans; choose between them when their particular game or workflow is the better fit.

Other listed options include AwowLab Overlay, EQ Zera, eqdps, and Advanced Combat Tracker.

Verdict

Guild Wars 2 players who want detailed ArcDPS log reports, replay analysis, and flexible exports should choose Elite Insights: it delivers a broad set of post-encounter tools at no cost. Look elsewhere if you need a live overlay or want healing statistics without an additional extension.
