Enhanced Block Entities
Enhanced Block Entities is a free, client-side Minecraft Java Edition mod that changes how selected block entities are rendered. It replaces some entity models with baked block models to target rendering performance, while preserving animations and rendering animated models only when needed. Listed optimised entities include ender chests, signs, bells, beds, shulker boxes and decorated pots. Visual options include smooth lighting, longer viewing distance, resource-pack remodeling and toggles such as Christmas chests. Resource packs can customise appearances, and a documented API lets other mods override configuration values or trigger a reload. EBE is described as a Fabric mod, with Fabric and Quilt listed as supported loaders, and it requires Fabric API. Minecraft Java compatibility spans versions 1.16.2 through 1.21.4. EBE 0.10.2 and newer work with Sodium 0.6 and newer without extra mods; earlier versions require Indium with Sodium 0.5.11 or below. The project is LGPL-3.0 licensed.
