In their own words
env0
env0 is a cloud control plane for governing infrastructure and helping teams manage, automate, and scale it. Developers and AI agents deploy through reusable templates and Git-based workflows, with RBAC, scoped variables, and policy-as-code guardrails. It supports Terraform, Terragrunt, Pulumi, OpenTofu, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation across cloud accounts, Kubernetes resources, and IaC-managed environments. Drift management detects changes across clouds, plans fixes with blast-radius context, remediates at the infrastructure-as-code source, and rescans. Cloud Asset Management maps resources across clouds, accounts, and SaaS providers to owners, costs, dependencies, and policy state. Listed integrations include GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, AWS, Azure, GCP, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Datadog, and Backstage. The Free Tier costs nothing, billed Free / Forever, with up to 30 active environments, 250 monthly deployments, one concurrent run, unlimited users and agents, and community support. Custom-priced Cloud Navigator and Cloud Pilot plans are also listed.
Temporal
Temporal is a workflow platform for applications that need work to recover after crashes, network failures, or infrastructure outages. Workflows preserve state at each step and resume from that point. Failure-handling tools include automatic retries with backoff, timeout classes, heartbeating, and Saga compensation. Durable timers can wait for months; cron schedules support backfill, and workflows can use Continue-As-New. Signals, Queries, Updates, and Workflow Streams let users read or change workflows while they run. Teams can self-host the open-source Temporal Service or use managed Temporal Cloud. SDKs are listed for Go, Java, Python, TypeScript,.NET, PHP, Ruby, and Rust, alongside integrations for several AI tools. Temporal Cloud keeps application code and data in customer-controlled infrastructure, sending encrypted orchestration data to the service; it uses AES 256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. The cloud service is SOC 2 Type II certified and compliant with GDPR and HIPAA. Pay-As-You-Go has no base monthly fee and includes $150 in credits for 90 days; Business costs $500 a month or 10% of usage, whichever is greater.
